Lets use some analogy here. We all want to play the legendary Beta version, right? Yes we do because we are all loyal Goldeneye fans who wants all the fun in Goldeneye right? But no we can't have the beta version because Rare are just fooling around with it or they are just plain lazy and do not want to release Goldeneye again: this time the beta version = even better Goldeneye fun. Their are many reasons why Rare could not release the beta version on Nintendo 64: 1.) The game (beta version) had way too much stuff in it which would cause the game to lag out and glitch out too much. Plus the game did not have enough graphics too support its details on so many numerical objects that the beta version on Nintendo 64 would simply collapse. 2.) We all seen (maybe most of us) screen shots of the beta version (their awesome!) but we just can't have everything we want now really? And 3.) All Bonds mode in multiplayer (oh how we all want to have it as a real game mode in the multiplayer) and the legendary Citadel (which I have not played yet but would really like too) which we have all discovered (God bless you game hackers) in which Rareware was trying to be some what secretive with it by hiding Citadel in the games memory so it can be lost forever; but we have prevailed by discovering it! This was a major milestone in our Goldeneye hacking! But now back to the topic, since we now have the X-box360, the PS3, and the Nintendo Wii which means we now have the graphics and plenty of memory space to hold all the stuff for the remake Goldeneye Beta Version! My question: What is Rare waiting for? They already made Perfect Dark Zero which is the prequel to the succesful version of Perfect Dark from N64. Rare should remake Goldeneye 007 as the beta version and it should be released on the either the Xbox360, PS3, or its rightful homeowner console the Nintendo Wii. Repeat after me: What is Rare waiting for?

Probably more of a legal issue. Plus they'd rather make new games than revamp old ones.

They aren't going to make new ones, Rare was bought out by microsoft, So therefore there probably wont ever be another Goldeneye game, Especially after that Rogue Agent game that wasn't worth playing or anything.
I know I can imagine Xbox 360 like graphics... It would look so nice, but the problem is they won't remake the game, too many legal issues, Why do you think they didn't release it for the Wii Virtual Console?

And the game is becoming increasingly harder to find as Nintendo 64's are becoming more thingish of the past.

Playing the game brings back a lot of memories, and gives me a bit of nostalgia since I remember playing when I was 8 years old, I wasn't good, I couldn't beat facility on 00A, Now I can beat just about every level except for Aztec, Still have trouble with that sometimes.

Goldeneye had success since 1997 to now. I think hackers know much secrets of the game than they imagine, unless there are other mysteries. If there is another game in the futur, hackers shall do the same thing with this new game.

Sweet I hope so, So I can play over at my cousins... he's got xbox live!
Anyways it would be great if they could re release it for Wii and PS3 but with better graphics, Thats all, They still have to stick to the original some.
But then even though we didn't have a N64, or a PC capable of emulating it, We could still play again... Goldeneye!

Well we are all hoping here on shootersforever that Goldeneye is finally being up graded to its fullest potiental! I can't wait till goldeneye is on xbox live arcade!

GE Master is talking about all over shootersforever and I watched the Silo video that was on Youtube. We all don't know yet when it is coming out on Xbox live arcade but I am hoping it is arriving pretty soon!
