I am not YouTube user CoTeCiOtm, but I did reply to this user in the text comments underneath the video. His problem is a rare one, and hopefully you might know the answer.

I recommend that, if you have anything to say about this problem, you contact CoTeCiOtm directly by communicating to him on YouTube. |

Ahh, this is that crazy reason they replaced all the first version game carts. I knew it had to do with Warehouse, but didn't know what the issue was specificly. It's specific to version 1.0 (or something like that) I'd still try Nintendo first - they might still honor it. I got some ROB parts off them a few years ago, so hey, you never know.
First, the chances the eeprom is dead is next to nil. More likely, the glitch corrupts the save file. Deleting the on-cart save is the most likely way to fix it. Mempak data should be okay, but you'll still lose stuff.
How can it do that though? It probably triggers some 'code' (more likely garbage) that loads or copies over certain memory ranges. There's something similiar that can happen in GE if you use double weapons or shoot a texture embedded in an object.
---best guess
If you have a GS you can probably do this through the save management system. I'm not certain exactly, but you can probably save the current cart data to the GS. Then, either delete or replace the current save data on the cart. Now, if you upload the GS bios you can probably find the save data, edit it, transfer it back, cross you fingers, and hope it all works. (that's the iffy part)
Toggling the power does the same thing, actually. It can also cause other problems though so I don't recommend it.
I'll try to trigger the glitch by uploading PD v. 1.0, then try to work from there. Can't promise anything, but there's probably a workaround. _________________ (\_/) Beware
