I can remember back in the mid-late 90s before I even had internet at home, my favorite website I used to visit in high school was happypuppy.com. They had tons of freeware java games you could play, I would play them in my computers classes when I got my work done.
The site sold for like $27 million, and now its gone under (apparently about 1.5 years ago it went up for sale)
In late 2006, it was for sale for $350k. Now you can get it for $85k

I don't remember the site but I do remember this crazy thing you could get there. it put dozens of little chickens all over your screen and they'd walk along the edges of the windows and stuff. Then, to get rid of them, there were all sorts of terrible things like a flamethrower, shotgun, etc.
Wonder if that thing's still around someplace.
