hmm, i have a problem. i downloaded and installed the setup editor but everytime i go to find the programme to use it, it just wants me to go through the installation process again and again. any ideas why it is doing this?

EDIT: ok i found the actual file but when i try to run it itsays " application failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect. please see the application event log for more details.

yes u need to install the latest microsoft direct x, at least 9.0c

and this: Microsoft VS2008 Redist

Any ideas at all? Ive installed you guys software that you linked me with and ive installed ge setup editor a bunch of times. Am i like clicking on the wrong file or something simple like that Question

should i have an emulator installed for it to work do ya reckon?

i do see this link of ge link provided by subdrag which is said to help problems as well as somethin called direct x

OH i know, u probably have vista. u need to go to the ge setup editor program folder and look for the dll that ur missing. it should have a name like d3dx9_30use if required.dll, just rename it to the proper name and it should work

d3dx9_30.dll just rename it to that also there shouldbe other filse that have a longer name than needed, just rename them and remove the "use if needed or required" part of the name

oh i see, so i just find all files with "use if needed or required" and get rid of that part by renaming them. Including the d3dx9_30.dll.

Regrab the editor installer. It's got d3dx9_31___.dll and it uses that one. The one you have is old.
