Hi. I haven't been here in forever since I've been doing a lot of other stuff. Anyway I remember how Rare wasn't going to make a Wii version of Goldeneye. I got to thinking about how much it would cost to actually buy the rights to Goldeneye. I wouldn't imagine it as too much, but it would still be thousands. I could email them and see what happens, but I want to read your input first. |

Really? Maybe SubDrag is right, but 9 figures for a 10 year old video game? If I had to guess I'd say $50,000. I think it would be fun to ask. I'll think about it and tell you what they say. |

Also, the game is more than ten years old |
Okay, 11. There.

Do you know how many game companies would be out of business? Like Pokemon for example |
Pokemon is mostly dead, but would still fetch much more than GoldenEye. The idea is that they will sell for much less if the game companies no longer consider them lucrative. I can buy the rights to almost every N64 game and it wouldn't hurt the game companies. |

GoldenEye = Game.
Pokemon = TV Shows, Movies, Games, Cards, Buttons, Toys, Clothes, Backpacks, Writing & Drawing Tools, and countless other commercial uses. _________________

I wasn't really referring to your comment, but rather that GoldenEye would make more money than Pokemon. It never would, because it was one lone game. Pokemon, on the otherhand, is sticking its fingers into every commercialized pie it can. They release new games all the time, which is just one piece of their empire. What was said to be a fad when it first come out, has proven itself a worthy property. Besides, I don't see too many kids playing with GoldenEye action figures, trading GoldenEye cards, or wearing GoldenEye t-shirts. _________________

Absolutely. I would definetly wear a Goldeneye t-shirt. As for trading cards (not that i'm actually suggesting this, i think it'd be funny if we did), we consult Konami (or whoever makes Yu-Gi-Oh cards) and make some kind of proposals. I know we couldn't because of copyrights, but they would be fun to have. For instance, have a Live Console Goldeneye Tournament, and then afterwards, have a Goldeneye Playing Card Tournament! |

okay so maybe i was wrong about the money issue but goldeneye is way better than pokemon and pokemon is never going to match goldeneye in fact no game ever will what other games stay popular after 10 to 11 years (should have said that the first time ) _________________ "We have always found the Irish a bit odd, They refuse to be English" Winston Churchill
