Tho I am sure that it is now just painted over, couldn't there be a way to use no clipping or reverse the moon jump so you go down instead of up, if that could be done, then the trap door might be passible, tho there may be a cheat to open it up itself. Does anyone have a GS code that might help with this?

The Trap door in Dam is a beta left over where you would retrive the remote mines to destroy the truck

For all I know there is no code to get under it, if ou try leaving your body then it might work.

I donno, it was changed some time before the game was released if I have heard right, so they probly just left it painted there, but Rare got mightly lazy with other thing, like the truck and the island, so there might still be somthing out there. KC you got a code that mgiht help here?

Please read my tutorial below. The COLLISION feature is right on top of ALL GUNS. Hold A to select each feature. Hold A then try to walk through an object, if it works go to the next feature you need to turn ON.
1. Load the game normally and select INFINITE AMMO from the cheat menu then select SLAPPERS ONLY in the multi setup menu along with COMPLEX as your loading stage or STACK (Objects).
2. When you spawn into the level wait until the camera stops panning and your character disappears.
3. Press the up arrow and down arrow at the SAME time on the yellow 4-button pad on your joystick and a bunch of crazy scrambled looking words will appear.4. Use your cross pad to scroll through to ALL GUNS, hold down A then scroll to ALL AMMO and select it with A also holding it down until a DIFFERENT gun appears. (Note)... Every once and a while you may have to hold down the C-up and C-down buttons AGAIN to get the highlighter to move through the menu......
5. Now, move the red highlight away from everything you selected to prevent the game from getting confused then press START.

You eventually will become a PRO at using this menu. The collision feature works beautifully in multiplayer if you wish to play FULL versions of certain levels like Archives or Facility. This feature allows you to walk through doors that are normally locked during regular gameplay!

Now you can play with ANY weapon and never run out of ammo! Tank rounds are probably my favorite because you can shoot people from across the entire level! This is most interesting on the Surface level.

The codes here have all been modified WITHOUT weapon placements for quickest entry for game play. It is highly recommended to load ALL these levels through COMPLEX's or STACK’s (Objects) multiplayer setup with SLAPPERS ONLY! since you will be turning on the weapons :

Well I tried it but it showed nothing below the trap door, however by no means does that mean that nothings there. I took 2 screenshots, one turned out black, but on close examination of the other one there is the "blue hell" (people should know that from gta3). This is sceen often on painter over when there is blue hell. You can destinctly see a diffrent blue under the trap door, however it extends over the whole building, but much like no clipping, most everything disappears from few, so if there is somthing under there, it may have disappeared from view.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, all that does is remove the door. There is nothing in it. Just blue space. It's just a misc beta code proving that there is nothing hidden there in our final version. Of course, that doesn't mean that there was not something there at one point in time during development, there probrobly was.

there is still a decrease in elevation on the trap door, the memory is probly in the game somewere. All the beta data is, It just has to be found with the gameshark. The raise the trapdoor code was f'ed up tho, I could stand near the shutter door, kneel down and shoot the crates behind the building.

I donno, you see the island is still solid, and you may still even be able to climb up the ladder if someone had a cheat that enabled you to start on the island, but why leave that and take away what was under the trapdoor? The fog covers up the island (almost) but the trap door covers up whatever was there completly. This is so confusing, they also left the plate on the vent to the facility and the truck. So why not leave underneither the trap door?

You can start on the Island. I was able to find three basic preset placements there, as well as the Beta alarm position. SubDrag even found the route that the boat was to take in an earlier version. Problem is, the clipping isn't complete. Only half of the Island can be walked on. There's a seemingly 'invisible' wall that prevents you from venturing near the tower or behind the heavy gun emplacement. Zoinkity corrected the visualization issues and allowed the rest of the stage to be seen, fixed the room pointer for the alarm, and increased the walking range to the whole area. Despite all of that, you could not climb the ladder. Infact, you clip through everything. The clipping would need rewritting.

As for the trap door, that area was removed. All that is left, like in the Runway and Silo, is a texturized doorway. The only reason there is a decrease in elevation when you walk over it, is because it is lower that the concrete flooring. The clipping dips down to meet it. This may have either housed a gadget, or been an old entrance into the mainframe room. We're not gonna know any better than that. Confused

You know I always thought it would be cool to make an uploader that would write binary for all of dams objects and beta stuff. This way you could walk across the water and hide on the island anywhere you want and snipe people with a tank round or something. Hey!! Maybe a respawn activator PICKUP that let's you teleport when you touch it. Like an object you walk over that activates a coordinate changer!! Hmmmm, could be possible?

Having gone tediously through every last binary in the bloody game, I can assure you there is nothing below that metal plate. If I were to venture a guess, at one point they mave have instead assigned an object to it and (most likely in cutscene) the grill would fall and bond would "fall" down the hole as the screen went black.

Mostly likely they just decided that was a little "eh..." and tossed the idea out.

At least bond is falling for our constant hacking. It's only been 311,122 out of a million or so, so he might want to cancel dinner out.
