I can post anything you want by request, but I think this shows improvements the best.

Oh, my God! It's the pornoz pictures!
Just kidding.

If you've got the right plugin and a good video card, the graphics can be almost as good as the current gen systems. I actually just got PJ64 to run on my PC, although not perfectly. The only level that even seems to load correctly is the Bunker. But the graphics on certain things have vastly improved. The mainframes look spectacular, ceiling tiles are great, command screen is very clean, and the glass is more realistic. Boris' shirt was better too, even though it's not a nice shirt to begin with.

Here's the only screencap I've been able to take so far...

God, I just love looking at that. Razz

I know. It looks so much better now, I'm l'm almost willing to give up a good framerate for it to look so much better.

That's one spiffy looking missile silo. Smile

Even though emulation does improve the graphics of the game, I happened to notice that the textures are much more repetitive than on cosole. Perhaps it's because they stand out better on a PC in comparison to the N64.

Emulation on the PC sucks for me because I don't have an N64 controller for it, and the framerate sucks. But I tried a new graphics plug-in and it looks great, still has horrible framerate though.

Here's a pic of Facility:

I know your pain.
Project 64 runs on my PC, but crashes it after a short time.
The framerate is terrible and half the levels won't load their backgrounds. Shocked

As I mentioned before, my PC seems to have a N64 in it. It took me about an hour to figure out but it worked perfectly. You can ask me for help, I recommend 1964 for an emulator. And for the video plugin, just stick with what Graham said. There's a newer version, but it doesn't work as well for Goldeneye.

PJ64 v1.6 seems to emulate Goldeneye really well with the default plugins. Just make sure you have Super2xSal textures enabled and the texture quality is quite good.

The downside to PJ64 is you need at least a 1.8 GHZ CPU or better to run Goldeneye without any framerate issues. My 1.6 AMD computer runs it pretty well but can be a little shaky at times. My 2.08 runs it flawlessly.

That's why. I seem to have a speed advantage because it worked on my 2.4 P4. And now I got a dual at 2.8 each.

Hi. I recommend 1964 as it works better for me than PJ64. Also, stick with the video plugin Graham suggested. There are newer ones but were choppy. Now for the controller, the tutorial shows 1964 so it should be a breeze. Once you can buy one, you may want to note the Jandaman adaptoids are sold out. I recommend looking on ebay for PSX/N64 adapters. Once you get it, slide the thing on the side to where it lights up green and not red for N64.

1964 is a much better emulator. The framerate on Project 64 was horrible. It's a lot better with 1964, but still not perfect, which is probably because my computer's a piece of crap.

But, games like Wave Race and Mario Kart run with absolutely perfect framerate, it's just Goldeneye that goes slow. And the graphics for every game are amazing. Here's one for Wave Race:

btw, I won that race Smile

Now I think I'm gonna try and buy one of those controller adapters off of eBay.
