VideoLAN hits 1.0.0 release, and it comes with a familiar codename.
I never used it much before, but I'll sure give this release a go.
I'd certainly like to know if that codename is related to what we think here  . |

It's a quite popular media player with many features. It's selfcontained, including all it's codecs, and has a lot of network functionality.
I haven't liked it's interface so far, but I will try this 1.0 release.
I posted it here because I found it curious it was nicknamed "Goldeneye".
Wonder if the authors are GE fans. |

I used the 0.x.x vserions of this media player
Distorted the Colour tho lol

It's the media player of my choice. And it should also be the one of yours.
I think it has something to do with "The eye which sees all (media), an eye of gold..." Or maybe this version required expertise only someone like Boris could possess. |

Great player, also tried this version, good!
If you need any kind of all-round player, this one is the best. |

I prefer Media Player Classic HC myself, with a few select DS filters.
When I have tried 0.x versions of VLC I haven't liked it. Slow, strange interface, strange behavior... But I'll give this new version an opportunity. |
