 |
|
I've finally decided that it was about time to give the Goldfinger 64 project its very own forum. Instead of building upon an already eleven page thread full of information, we can break it down into sections. Maps, character, objects, etc., may now be featured individually. This should help to keep things better organized and easier to navigate through. Hopefully this forum will see a lot of action as the project continues to evolve.
Everyone should give Monkeyface - project founder and forum moderator - a big round of applause. _________________

Now we'll see what power REALLY does to a person. It feels the same for the time being. Maybe the megalomania will grow over time if i nurture it.
Thank you for the confidence. I'll try to come up with a system to split the different topics into threads, so to keep everything nice and tidy. Maybe I'll lock the main topic, it's getting crammed... |

he's taking away our freedom to post in the main topic!
sure, he may claim that its getting cluttered and it's impossible to find the most recent update of a certain field, reducing the collaboration efficiency... but its a farce i tell ya! a farce!
besides that, though:
congratulations on the forum, monkeyface!

Yes, you all behave now...
Here's the moddb profile:

If you are in the project you're likely to be interested in indie game development. Moddb is a great hub for that. So, if you feel like joining up, also join the mod group. |

We all got to start somewhere, and by joining a site like moddb you're at least taking some iniative, the most important thing of all. Just keep working at it.
I just realized that I can't add you, since we haven't got a group...
We'd need a name for that... Well? |

Well, THAT I could've come up with on my own...
Hopefully this is the final side-track. Finished the moddb group and it's accepted. Behold, Golden Brain. A reference to all the golden body parts in the Bond series, but they never had gold where it really matters. It's a silly name, but I made up while showering, and it's just to keep a front over there. And maybe, you never know, we can keep collaborating when all this is said and done.
If you're in the project and do have a moddb.com profile. Join up.

That is a concept of interest, driving civilian vehicles in GE007, it's kind of funny though how you just hop up into it like a tank but the fort looks good.
I wonder where this is going.
I believe the maps/levels and characters will be refreshing after playing the game for so long in it's vanilla flavor. Will the storyline remain roughly the same or like the original game will things have been 'altered' from the movie which it is based upon? (like the surface and silo levels...). _________________ "Goldeneye was just once a game for the N64... a huge success, now we can finally play all our friends and make new friends playing online! Check out the thread here for an overview of the current design plan for the missions. Basically, Monkeyface went through both the movie and novel and pulled out the best locations for missions. Like GoldenEye, we'll follow the same story, but won't sacrifice gameplay to make it 100% true to the original scenes. |

A quick update. I'm on "vacation" for the time being, at least I'm not at home. I got my laptop though and the basic geometry for the prison map is done. Didn't transfer any textures so that'll have to wait until I get back. Talk to you later. |
