Thank you so much for the video, bmw Wink It certainly looks very cool.
It's a pity you loose all the stuff between cutscenes. Wonder if it could be fixed...
Anyway, I agree that cutscenes most of the time would disrupt the gameplay.
Maybe that bug is like one of these constrains that prevent you from gratuitously use a certain feature and think about it twice so you use it without measure instead xD

Intermission cutscenes not only work, but there's an example of one in the help file of all things.

However, do note the clock runs during the cutscene...
...unless...
...you happen to be using a slight hack of the action blocks found in the vault that happens to turn the 'stop timer' command into a switch ;*)

Never did I really fear that it couldn't be done, technically speaking... Or that zoinkity wouldn't find a way, at least.

I say like this; if you think you could make use of a cut-scene, work it in there. But it'll be up for a harsh review. It has to feel intuitive and what-not.

Haven't seen Goldfinger in forever but is there anywhere in the storyline for a level where you get captured? It could be like if surface 2 and bunker 2 were one level seperated by the cutscene at the end of the surface. I have some ideas for getting around the technical aspects of using a cutscene so if ultimately the cutscene idea gets used please let me know.

I know that it might affect the feel of the game but i think it would be really cool. Plus i think affecting the feel somewhat is a good thing. i don't want to feel like i'm playing goldeneye but with different levels and different storyline, i want to feel like i'm playing a whole new game.

I'm not going to argue with you, I've seen cut-scenes done well. However, to me it's only a question of "good" or "bad" game play, if you can put cut-scenes in there that are good, they'll stay, but if I (or other people, I wont have the last say in this matter) feel that the cut-scene is not up to par or is intrusive, it'll have to be improved or scratched.

I want to feel like I'm playing GoldenEye with different levels and storyline. If I didn't, I'd suggest this project be moved to a more modding-friendly engine with a full package of dedicated development tools.

What I meant was I like the Goldeneye engine but I think that there needs to be something to make it Goldfinger, not Goldeneye 2.0. I hope that makes sense.
