Why do some of the guard's bodies remain on the levels after they have been shot and others disappear?

There's a limit to the number of corpses the game will store because of memory and possble slowdown if you ever get too many corpses in a given area.
Basically the game implements a number of algorithms to decide which ones to remove as new ones are added. More than one factor is involved in this, of course, as the removing of bodies doesn't seem to be done in order of "generation" xD. I was never too interested in trying to decipher it, but maybe someone else knows, if you are really interested in it.
Other than that, there's nothing too mysterious about it Wink

i have a small guess:it could be either their action blocks or simply textures;some take more mem than others.
ive never looked into it but its an idea

I think it's amount of dead guards versus whether bond can see them, possibly proximity. Would be interesting to hear real algorithm.

I'm pretty sure the number of guards total in the stage factors in too, dead or alive. Guards seem to disappear much faster in some stages than in others.

Is there a difference in the calculation of this when it comes to Skedars ? Surprised
Those use more ressources then normal guards, well it seems. Smile
