Anyone know of a way to rip the data off of PS1 games, or were to get the roms. I have a PS1 emulator, but I can't seem, to find a way to be able to rip the data out of the games. I know you can't just cut and paste, because of protection and stuff. Anyone know anyways, or sites with PS1 roms?

PS2 emulator exsist, tho they can't play many commercial games. Check my emulator site link under emulators.

http://www.emulator-zone.com It has every emulator ever made basically. I am starting to think that people are avioding this thread, like GE, Wreck, and KC. Probly because they don't want to contribute to the theft of roms, or they might not know.

I don't know too much about emulation, aside from playing some N64 games on my PC for testing purposes. I've no knowledge of ripping game ROMs, especially for systems that use compact discs. My PlayStation 2 hardly sees any action. It just sits there, waiting to be played. That sort of sounds like my GameCube, too.  |

| I avoided the thread because I really do not know. My knowledge of PS1 and PS2 games lies only in copying them (you need to bypass protection by using Alcohal 120% or something) but I do not know much about ripping them. They are a strange medium, because other consoles use discs that are not accesible by a computer, and it is much harder (as you might assume) to rip an n64 cart ROM than something already on a cd for you. Im sure the answer is out there somewhere. You might even get a PS emulator that play off the disc in your CD drive, im not sure. |

I'll take a stab at this, and see what I can dig up. PTB out... for now.
Update: Alright foo yo, I got a site with some utilities that will help you play music and videos off of ps1 games, but still nothing on ripping the roms

Im gonna search harder, PTB is out again.
Epdate 2: No one knows crap about this. They are just as confussed as we are. If someone can find a PS1 or PS2 rom site, please post it. I'll see what I can do here. Ptb, around the corner and out the back!\
Apdate 3:Finally, I find a PS1 and PS2 rom site that has free roms right... turns out, they have only about 70 PS1 roms.
Ipdate 4: I do not have a clue, COME ON MAN, SOME ONE OUT THERE HAS TO KNOW HOW TO RIP A GOD DAMN PS1 ROMS!!!
