It all depends where the server originates from, and your connection.
Lets say, you live in the UK but the server is in Canada or US. You would roughly have about 100-200 ping.
Well tell us how your ping is going up, as in which servers you are joining etc.

| In addition to what HackBond said, also close anything making use of your internet connection before you connect. Browsers, IM, etc. Virus scanners and software firewalls are especially bad in this regard. Just remember to turn them back on when you're done with the game, if they turn out to be the problem. |

God Weapon The Ping Is 90 To 180
NewEmulinker Server The Ping Is 180 To 210
Galaxy 64 The Ping 100 To 125
Oh my Freakness The Ping Is 170 To 188
Igamingleague Public Server The Ping Is 79 To 1000
Outpost99.net The Ping is 31 To 47 But No Games in it At All

well, when i play GE i do it on igaming leauge, since godweapons seems to be desynching mupen beta a lot.
Anyway, if you using wireless connection get close to the router or connect to it using an ethernet cable, make sure all connection intensive programs are disabled (IRC and static web pages are fine). |
