I'm going to do this and I can't wait! I know my PC can handle my 42" plasma resolution playing GoldenEye. Codes, better framerate, bring it on. Just wondering who has bothered to give this a try. It's just so easy picking codes and playing the new levels. All this in incredible 42" resolution crisp and clean. I'm pumped! I will likely do a video of the setup and some pics. I just know it's going to rock in a big way. |

I got to play some Super Nintendo (Super Mario World) via emulation over the VGA output to the VGA input on a 36" LCD tv. Looked incredible. Never tried N64 though.
I do my N64 hacking on a Sony 24" CRT widescreen monitor. The picture on this thing, IMO, blows any other technology out of the water. Monitor sold new for $2,000 back in 2001 or 2002, I picked it up for $150 on ebay. Was worth the 100 mile drive to go pick it up However, getting it out of the car and carrying it down a flight of stairs was another story. |

I usually play all single games on emulators including N64 on my HDTV only problem though is for me most of the old games being 4:3 : / althought Goldeneye also got 16:9 which is great, just sad that almost everyone online plays GE in 4:3, but with some guys we've been playing online 16:9 and those been cool games and also captured some of the and uploaded them into youtube in HD.
Speaking of N64 and HDTVs new PJ64 1.7 will have Jabos plugin with "widescreen hack" function and it will force old 4:3 games in to 16:9 with that and max anisotropic filtering & AA games really look kinda good and anyways you should really give N64 a try on your HDTV with all emulator functions picture detail really looks great
