I've been busy with some other projects, but I just wanted to update everyone here that I'm up to 50 props ported. You can check out the full list from a link at the top of the first post. There is also a list of ported heads, as well. I believe that one is up to 20. Any special requests? Feel free to post them.

The tank would require the object type from GE to still be present, so it could be driven. The tank weapon would also need to be ported. It's unlikely that the object type is still functional, though. We lucked out with hats, but we also knew PD had hats during development, so it's not too surprising that they still existed in the code. Maybe the hoverbike type could be used instead, though. It wouldn't be the same, but at least you could climb on and move it around. (Hovertank anyone?)

I'm not sure about the "climbing on" part, though. As far as I know, the Tank object is the only model that incorporates clipping in GoldenEye. You could scale up the tank, then stand on top. In PD, I believe most standard objects could be used as a Hoverbike. They don't have to be a specific style model for them to be driven. Which is good, since it makes it easier to create custom vehicles. But if you can't get ontop of the tank (at least not from the ground), you might end up sitting in the very middle of it. That wouldn't be good.

Hehe, of course the one request so far is probably the most difficult! Razz

Well here is something from imagination:

what if two objects can be combined somehow?
I dont remember if you fall on top of the hovercrates it lets you stand on it.
other thing that seems tank-like is the elevators. a mini elevator with hoverbike values?
hovercrate with stairs attached?

kaaaaaaaaaaa!!
i dont know nothing........ Mad

Creating Goldeneye as Perfect Dark. Good idea to change everything from PD into GE. Awsome project and good job for your work.

oldyz your Rite in complex map wen you drop off the legh you may fall on top of the box and stand on them to so maybe if you can put tank and add something thats lets you clime on top of it may work. If only you can edit the Clipping on the tank to have it act just like a ladder on one side of it.

It's an interesting concept, but I'm afraid it probably won't work. With physical objects being inside of the tank, it'd obstruct the vehicle. Even if you could get on top of it and get into the driving position, the crates (or whatever objects used within) might prevent it from moving. And as far as I know, no objects act as ladders. You can't climb up any of the props, I don't think. It'd need to be a single object without anything to get in the way. And - even if you could move freely - it is hard to say how the objects within would react. When you hop off the tank after driving it halfway across the Crash Site, would you still be able to climb up the side afterward? It's a tricky situation that requires some looking into.

I cant remember if it was PD or Goldneye or other game , but by accident we made two objects get "interlocked" or stuck togheter while playing multiplayer...
it was years ago, when we pushed the object it would move both.

the crates in the drawing are no just arranged but their "clipping" is within
one another - like the accident, say you place with editor a hover crate and a hoverbike occupies the same space, what happens when you double tap B?
will the stuck hovercrate move with the hoverbike?

or pretty much just touch the two intelocked things, will they move togheter?

with this slow machines we can't try with the editor but using crates as legos could work for someting if the clipping could act like chains
the crates serve as a"half platform for the bike" the bike is on top but is intruding on the crates so when the bike moves the crates move.
the tank shell is other story, it would have to be a weapon maybe that sits on top of one of the crates? but this weapon model is increased in size and replaced by the tank model - the gun has to be placed in the right place so the tank shell is sincronized to the bikes' seat. i remember weapons can stay on top of crates, but don't know if you push the crate the weapon moves with it

The tank is probably going to be one of the later ports. The main reason is because of the object type. It is broken up into many model parts, and I wouldn't know how to string them together in PD. I also don't know how the clipping for it works, so I'd need to look into that and probably discuss it with MRKane. I know the tank would be cool, but it just isn't going to happen this early into the project.
