I plan on writing up a PD clipping guide, but I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention in case it takes me a while. Sub added a feature to scale GE's clipping now. Anyone who wishes to do a port for this project should use this feature, then export the scaled clipping to OBJ format, and import it to your PD project once you get the background ported over. This way we can keep the original RGB lighting, making the ports even more true to the original, and it saves you from needing to clip the floor. You still need to do the walls, of course, except for the rare few that GE already had clipping in place for.

I just used this feature for Bunker ii, and it seems to have worked wonderfully well. All you need to do is go around and make sure everything is the proper tile type, then set the correct sound effects. You may need to make some small adjustments, but it certainly beats clipping the entire thing yourself. After you've tested it out and are satisfied with the flooring, you can move onto the walls.

Convert Clipping Problem, today i tryed to convert archives and as i always do, i converted the clipping from goldeneye, ive never had any problems before but archives just wont convert properly. The clipping rescales, exports & imports ok but you cant edit any of the clipping tiles, when you try and select them nothing happens?

Hmm, have you tried saving the imported clipping from the .OBJ file as a PD clipping file, then re-import that new file? I don't know if that'd help or not. Dragon had the clipping going, and I believe he used the convert clipping option. Maybe just some weird glitch?

I converted the clipping the same way i do with every map and it always seems to work fine but archives definatly has a problem?

Im not sure if DB used the clipping converter in archives as i havnt had chance to look at the files yet but i will continue where he left off as soon as i return home.
