It is a very well known thing that
Mr Oddjob throws his hat around....

Wreck , can you turn one of the usseless objects or some thing that is not much seen in to a Oddjob hat?

Then through gameshark hacking those who want can use a modified drunken bottle code to use Oddjob's secondary unarmed attack

A hat he can throw around

If i remember correctly the code or one similar to it makes
people dizzy
(bloodloss dizziness because hat cuts you)
they drop their weapons
(so the function of taking away the weapons remains)
and the hat stays stuck to the victim.
(like a properly sharp hat should )

First of all... LOL @ that picture. Razz
Secondly, it would be possible to make Oddjob's hat into an actual weapon. We could either model a brand new one, or just strip the one he wears out of his head, modify it slightly, and turn it into an object. It'd act like a throwing knife, which means it'd stick into various surfaces. You'd want to limit it to one, since there's only the one steel-rimmed bowler hat (presumably). I'd also imagine it'd be a one-hit killer. If it did make it into the game, it'd probably be a cheat option, and possibly an easter egg of sorts in some random mission. Fun little idea worth playing around with, Oldyz.

One problem would be the hat on his model would never actually be removed.

MMMM ,
What if the Oddjob has no hat.

Can a character appear with a knife stuck to his head?
(if the knives are turned in to hats)

then we'd have a Oddjob with a hat but it would have to dissapear when he throws it.

Another benefit is that whoever kills Oddjob gets to pick up the Knife-Hat he had on his head

About the gameshark-model replacement way of doing it....

i realized that it turns knives to hats for everyone ..............

So in the context of Goldeneye i guess it would be cool as a cheat thing for the patched ROMs
Hats for Knives.........

-- EDIT----
----------- One hit Killer? i think is more fun if it slowly kills you and makes you dizzy
(Those that think back then that Oddjobb was an unfair character, more unfair)

Love the signature Wreck

I had actually thought about removing the hats from characters who wear them as part of their head model. This would directly affect Ourumov, Oddjob, Baron Samedi, the Helicopter Pilot, and the Biker. The headgear would be made into props, which would then be worn by the appropriate character during the mission. There are pros and cons to this idea, however...

Pros:
In multiplayer, the lack of a hat means less opportunity for headshots.
In missions, the hat could be a wearable prop, able to be shot off.

Cons:
Restructuring the top of the head / scalp could prove to be a pain.
You wouldn't be able to wear the hat in multiplayer.
Hats aren't being worn perfectly in PD yet.

Oddjob's bowler hat is supposed to be a killshot. Anyone who is hit by it in the film dies. It even cut off the head of a statue during a demonstration. I'd definitely think this would be better suited as an instant kill weapon.

being an instant kill weapon is a good idea.
you would only have one shot available.
the hat should stick to enemies and architecture so it can be later retrieved and used again.
Of course, there should be no replacement for the hat, if you lose it, you lose it. if it gets stuck in an unreachable part of the level, you should be able to bring it down by shoting at to try to recover it.
other players could get it and use it if they find it, but it should be only available when oddjob is arround.

Hope this all can actually be done.

OK it seems about right

I just wanted to see a bit more Drama from affected players that gets hit in combat simulation.
at least to see them alive running around with the stuck hat for about 1 second = accelerated poison effect (one URGG!! and they die).

Decapitate the rival if you can hit their neck area?

Could that ever be possible with the PD - GE engines?
loss of limbs or head?

Hehe, you ask for some wild things sometimes, Oldyz. I don't think any form of decapitation is possible on either the GoldenEye or Perfect Dark engines. Well, at least not as-is. Perhaps with heavy modification, but I wouldn't even know where to start. Besides, I think severing body parts is a bit too mature and brutal for this type of game.

Just thought it was funny that Oddjob can throw his hat in the new Wii GoldenEye game... and it's also a one-hit kill weapon. Coincidence?! Razz
