it's easy to get high ranks if you spam like crazy...

Took me 3 years to reach 007, and I will gladly loose that rank when my replies to the SPAM are removed allong with it. All it does is clutter the forums. You have to wade through tons of nonsense to find anything.

Some people here have reached high "ranks" in just a few months. It's not something that I personally like or approve of, but at least some of them also get engaged in the forum's topics and make interesting things (i.e. they CONTRIBUTE to the community), so I guess their spam can be tolerated to a certain degree.

On the other hand, there's people that just spam tons of crap and make absolutelly no contribution to the community, unless you count cluttering as a contribution, and these people must leave, voluntarily of by force.

I want to make it clear, in case it's not already, that these views are MY VIEWS and don't necesarily represent the views of the rest of the administrators and moderators. It's my belief that they'd agree with most if not all of it, but I in no way a representative of their opinions.

I have to agree with that view radorn, I also personally dislike when reading forums and I see many responded topics and its just annoying to find replies like "LOL" to some topics. I probably have myself somewhat low post count considering join date when compared to what seems to be average posting frequency of other members, but I usually myself don't reply to topics where I feel I have nothing useful to add and its just crazy to see even new members posting 100s of posts in short time to get "higher ranks" and I think focus should be on quality not quantity of posts

Anyway, even if you don't care for the rank, you still post too much, and most of what you post is basically "lol" and "cool" type of posts.

Forums are not chatrooms, they are meant for more reflexive submissions.
This is not to say that all trivial posting should be prohibited, but really, you guys do a bit too much of that and it effectively clutters the forums.

If my replies to troll attacks were to be eliminated (99% of it should be eliminated along with the trolls' spam, or at least that's my whish) my post count would be more along the lines of 900 or so, I guess.
