I believe the three will be Skedar, Grid and Villa. I'd actually like to see some modifications, especially to texturing, for each of the maps. The only one that seems appropriate as-is, would be Villa. I'm not sure what kind of new theme would suit that level. Maybe just some slight tweaking, utilizing GoldenEye's textures? We'll have to see what comes out of it when we get to that stage.

The Skedar level wus ok to me but it wus way to dang open thats the problem to me. But maybe if you ever change your mind maybe you can use Sewers instedd. That level fill more like a undergownad Goldeneye level to me.

What about using 3 of the single player levels as multi and retexture them to look like bond levels from other movies? (Brosnan movies)

example - use air force and make it look like that plane from
Die another day

the first level datadyne building to look like the hotel or whatever that was on tomorrow never dies?

and.........

mmmmmmmmm need to watch the Brosnan movies again.......

I'd rather someone model brand new maps to resemble locations used in Bond films, rather than try to retexture pre-existing levels from Perfect Dark. It's not a bad idea, but it'll just seem like PD stages with new textures. Completely new layouts and architecture would be the way to go.

I was thinking about the Combat Rankings in PD's simulator. I was thinking that it would be really cool having them related more to GE.

21: Beginner 14: Star Agent 7: Killer
20: Trainee 13: Special Agent 6: Assassin
19: Amateur 12: Expert 5: Lethal
18: Rookie 11: Veteran 4: Elite
17: Novice 10: Professional 3: Invincible
16: Trooper 9: Dangerous 2: Near Perfect
15: Agent 8: Deadly 1: Perfect

Above are the PD ones. I thought of a list of 15 possible goldeneye-like combat rankings. Before I list the 15 I would like to know if you guys considered adding GE-like combat rankings to GE:X. If you want me to list my suggestions, let me know!!

Absolutely, TH126.
I've also thought about changing the various terms used for the Simulants, as well as (at least one of) the medal titles. The awards have all been altered to match the original GE names, though the Quad Kill may need the added "(Doh!)" removed. You can score four kills or more in quick succession with the presence of Sims.

If you present a list of rankings, we can go over it and see what we should do to the set.

Here is what I thought up :

15: Initiative
14: Recruit
13: Trainee
12: Novice
11: Amateur
10: Agent
9 : Operative
8 : Trooper
7 : Covert
6 : Secret Agent
5 : Marksman
4 : Assasin
3 : Elite
2 : Killmaster
1 : 00 Agent

The only problem is that there are 21 combat rankings. Could we possibly have to think of more? I guess repeating some of the PD ones might be a necessity to get 21. I'm not too sure though.

Also remember Bonds background.

from what i can recall:
orphan>*oxford>*Navy(Commisioned Officer - Commander)>mi6(training)>....>007.
*=mi6 sponsership

Goldeneye really doesnt focus on Bond's military roots, so I think the combat rankings should be more game oriented. ex. killmaster

That's one of the titles I really don't care for, actually. "Killmaster" doesn't feel right to me. It's one of the medals you can win at the end of a match, isn't it?

I'm just giving suggestions. If you don't think it fits, you can always change it of course. Killmaster is a medal yes.

Aren't we confusing medals with rankings?

After looking at the Statistics page in Combat Simulator, these are the names of the four different medals you can be awarded at the end of a match...

Accuracy
Head Shot
KillMaster
Survivor

The only one I really don't like is the KillMaster. It doesn't feel like it suits the more classy world of James Bond. I can't think up any replacements at this time, but I'm certainly open to suggestions.

Sharpshooter or Ace maybe? Those titles don't sound like the number 2 spot though. We'd have to move them lower if we were to use them.

Most Deadly

if that's used somewhere else, i suppose assassin or a similar term would suffice.
