 |
|
Hey everybody around last week I bought the Die Hard Collection over at Walmart and it contained Die Hard, Die Hard 2, and Die Hard with a Vengence. And a couple days ago I bought the fourth movie Live Free or Die Hard! It appears I have quickly became an Bruce Willis Die Hard fan and I was just asking you guys in your oppinion which Die Hard is the best to you? To me, Die Hard was the best because it was really action packed, a comedy in some parts of the movie, and it was suspensful in some parts of the movie! Their was also a really good acting bad guy in the too named Hans Gruber. Die Hard 2 was really good also but I thought their wasn't a really good bad guy in it. Die Hard with a Vengence seemed to be really good but their was something misssing: John McClaines wife? Where was the role of his family in this movie? And finally Live Free or Die Hard was the worst one because their was not a very bad guy in this movie! The actor who played as the bad guy really sucked because he was afraid of John McClain in the whole movie. Live Free or Die Hard is a great action packed movie but is was not a very campy to a Die Hard. My vote is Die Hard! _________________ An Elevator from Earth; then to the Heavens...

I choose die hard 2: die harder, yeah, most of you will be choosing the first one, and yeah, it is great, VERY VERY great movie, one of my favorites, but the second one has a lot of mindless action and it is from one of my favorite directors, Renny Harlin.
Also my one favorite actors have little role in it, Franco Nero. |

(I know this is old, but I don't ever remember seeing it until now)
It'd be a toss up between the first and third for me. They are both very different, which is what makes them interesting. The original is a fantastic stealth-action film, while the third is just pure adrenaline action. The combination of Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson is just gold, no matter what they do together. I can't really say which one I enjoy more, but the nod might go to the first. _________________

All of them. I watched every single one, they were all awesome movies.
If I had to pick one
It HAS to be, Die Hard With a Vengeance.
Great movie. _________________

The first two are great, third dragged on and fourth was only good for the action and Flyleaf (I MEAN C'MON, THEY CHANGED HIS CATCHPHRASE!!), the first is just miles ahead though, I mean, c'mon, everyone likes being in buildings as they explode. |

Like Ryani said, The new die hard just didn't have the same special recipy that made the first one famous.. Cheesy action, 90's era bad guys, and the dad from Family Matters lol.. Still good tho..
If you liked Die Hard I'd highly suggest the Lethal Weapon Series (skip #4) and one of the greatest Bruce Willis movies he's ever made: The Last Boyscout.. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |

Really? Isn't Bruce Willis, oh, you know. Aging. I mean in his latest film, Surrogates, you could really tell that he isn't the adventure-filled actor he was in the old days. |

Yep, a sequel.
Quote: | On May 5, 2010 it was announced that X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The A-Team writer, Skip Woods was in negotiations to script a fifth Die Hard movie and the film will be produced by Alex Young. Bruce Willis will again return as John McClane and Willis said that he would like to see Live Free or Die Hard director, Len Wiseman return and would also like to see the story take place outside of the United States with a tentative title of Die Hard 24/7. |

Absolutely fantastic film. The amount of sarcasm between almost every character in the script is like no other movie out there. I could watch this one over and over and never get tired of it.
As for "Surrogates", I think he was supposed to look rundown and tired. Well, at least in his human form. His surrogate was younger, faster, and more agile. But the actual man, who he really was, was growing older. That was a part of the whole reality the story was teaching us. _________________

If you've ever seen a Bruce Willis movie he's always played that "aging badass".. His real age is jus finally catching up to his characters.. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |
