And i love it!

i play all the levels and enjoy every one of them.

And i love the end of the game it was epic.

And now my next thing im going to do is level up to the hiegst level in online play.

So im going to give this game my ratings.

Story 10/10

Love the story from start to the end.

And i was serprise by a lot on what happen in this game wile the real goldeneye 64 did not have.

Controls 7/10

The controls took time getting use to and all.

I try the wiimote and i had to keep on editing the setting to make it work for me. Still haveing truble with it.

And the gamecube contolor is one thing i cud not figer out very easy at all lol.

I mean who wants to click Z and B to punch someone lol.

Replay 9/10

Yup this game has replay with the online and the story mode and mutiplayer this game is full of fun to keep you bisy for sometime.

Online play 8/10

The online play i wish they still work on more.

10 muti level is a lot for this game and im happy abowt it.

And the games in this game is very fun like the Golden Gun or heros.

But i still wish they had more guns add to this game like the lazer gun.

And chat modes and stuff.

But other then that online play is very fun and wirth trying.

Buy or rent?

I say buy it if you love the 1st Goldeneye 007.

It has a lot of fun thing and stuff and it will keep you playing it.

But if you never play Goldeneye 007 for N64.

But if you like games like call of duty or other games then i say still bye it.

Or if your not a so hardcore FPS shooter and you want to play a good shooter game or someting i say rent this give it a try then buy it! lol.

Overall rating 9/10

I hope you all enjoy this game as much as i did. Smile

And...

Happy New years!!!

Ah your selling it?

Oh well there are some level like arcives and cradle and jungle and stuff.

But none of the level look the same as the one from the N64 one.

Atleast beat the game befor you sell it so you can say i beat the game and hated it lmao.

It does have some areas from the original game, though changed up for various reasons. One of those is most likely due to copyright, while the others would be for modernization and individuality. They neglected using the film for architectural reference, since they wanted this to be its own experience that could stand alone. These are the only real locations from GE64 that make an appearance...

Dam (most alike, though probably for nostalgia as the first map), Facility (hardly), Runway (vaguely), Surface (which I actually do like), Bunker (not even remotely similar), Frigate (it's a carrier ship), Statue (very different), Archives (new design), Streets (it has roads), Train (or the last few cars of it), Jungle (plant life and a battle with Xenia), and Cradle (unique structure).

I didn't really care for some of the story changes, and even less thrilled by the new dialogue. Bond and Alec didn't seem to have a real friendship, the end of Facility was awful, certain lines had no real impact, the 'surprise' reveal of Janus was poor, the lack of Boris was evident, and the additional objectives on harder difficulty mostly involved using your SmartPhone. Not Bruce Feirstein's fault, as I'm sure it would have been a good screenplay. It's what happens when trying to squeeze it down into a game that takes place entirely from the players perspective. Some of those lines were really ineffective, though...

Oh, do you have a Wii Zapper, Aries? If not, you should think about picking one up. I don't think they cost that much, and adds a fun new way to play the game. Out of all the methods I've used, it's my personal favourite.

I was really mad when I first heard that they were changing everything, but a little before I got the game, I realized that they were also screwed by the whole debacle, and that copyright infringement was probably a very real concern for them. It made sense after that. Still mad at the marketing team, though. Also mad that they didn't include coop. There is a freaking coop survival horror game; there is no excuse for a lack of coop.

Hm wii zapper.

I have a very cool camoflogh wii zapper that can turn into a hand gun and turn into the one that looks a lot like the nintendo wii zapper. And it even has a battry power flashlite on the end of it to.

But i never thot of trying the wii zapper yet on this game ill have to give it a go sometime soon.

And the coop thing is the wii problem.

The wii can only use so much ram in it and the wii dus not have a nuff to even hold coop play in this game.

So be happy you got muti player atleast. Smile

1) Redundant levels were removed, and instead of Casino making an appearance (cuz that'd be boring) they made Nightclub. ONLY LEVEL DIFFERENCES. France is also now Dubai, and Cuba is Nigera, but that doesn't change the levels at all.

2) GCN controller layout is nearly identical to Nightfire, the Z+B punch is the only difference, how could that make it 'difficult'?

3) Play Quantum of Solace Wii.

4) Screenplay was very ineffective. One of the few problems I have with the game. The other problems does include all new objectives being smartphone-abusive.

5) Game could NOT handle co-op, can barely handle campaign.

6) People who aren't liking multiplayer, this is how I (a splitscreen purist) enjoyed multiplayer on Christmas day:
- 1 cousin who played the original but isn't biased towards new games (he actually liked Quantum)
- Golden Gun setup
- Outpost (a level neither of us knew) or Docks (an area that we both quickly decided the upper level of the boathouse was a good hiding spot)
- Spikey hair
- Both players starting with the revolver combo (I forget what primary this is though), it's a one hit kill in multiplayer too
- First to 50 points, 100 lives
- A bit of Midori

This game is surprisingly solid, it could have been like Quantum - a half-assed attempt at ripping off COD. As it is, it plays as well as COD, only with slightly worse graphics, more replayability (less linearity), less guns to a level, no grenades, and the so far unique sneaking-is-easier-than-running-in-shooting.

There are only few things wrong with it, like Wreck said - script, extra objectives, rare accounts of freezing and lag, difficulties all being exactly the same if you play it right or fail as hard and the fact if you're in it for nostalgia, you will not like it.

Subdrag... I kinda expected a little more of a try from you xD Wreck got it right, remember how he felt before he played it. Remember how I felt!

Now I believe it justly deserved those high 7-9/10 reviews. Sadly it seems Activision will go back to making bad games like the last ones, and like EA did after they dropped Eurocom.

Got this for Christmas, along with the Classic Controller Pro, which seems to be the better of the two.

Single player was enjoyable. Actually liked the secondary objectives, and appreciated the stealth parts (although somewhat odd considering enemies were yelling during "silent" melee kills.).

Multi player, however, straight-up CoD. The only things I've appreciated are matches being limited to 4v4 (much better than the usual 6v6/8v8), and the overpowered killstreak rewards being removed. Otherwise, it's the same crap I've already had enough of from another series. Least the killstreak removal and shortened teams kept me playing until Level 18.

It's an alright game, I just wouldn't have purchased it myself.

Eurocom made TWINE a long, long time ago, and I loved TWINE almost as much as GE007. If they can actually differentiate themselves from the damned CoD staples, I think they'd have an actual chance at making something fresh (for this age in games anyways). But, if they just want to do the same thing again with the Bond license, then screw 'em.

Had a chance to play this, and it really was very fun. Solo was certainly the better of the two modes, but they did a lot very well.

Might as well mention the weakest part first. It wasn't just the dialog: the story was gutted. Trev was little more than a thief. Still, it isn't like the movie did te story much better. It was a bit too subtle a nuance for a big-screen Bond movie. Likewise, the story here was just sort of walking you from stage to stage.
Streets sucked in here too. That stage is doomed.

Now, the good stuff.
Simplicity. This caught more the GEorg feel than anything else. No bunny hopping or whatnot, just simple run, 1-button fire, one button action, and bonk anything you can't shoot.
The AI showed at least the basic concepts of cover and not dying. They run for cover, they run for support, and they don't get lured easily into fire. Campers camp. Also, if you blow stuff up or set things off they react. About the only major exploit is you can run from "area" to "area" and they forget about you.
The phone is a screwy concept, but it is nice that you have this single gadget to fuss with than having to select tool 1, tool 2, or tool 13 from a list of crazy gadgets. Also, it is slow so you really can't go flying into a room and ping something without at least getting shot.

It is nice you don't have to go guns blazing. Heck, it is easier to get the times silent than on full auto. Most of the objectives seem pertinent to the actual mission, even the ones looted from GEorg.
There's a good assortment of variety to the weapons, a good assortment of goofy things you can trigger. The places you go are all dramaticly different, but they feel realistic since they were designed as real spaces.

In those ways it is very much in the vein of what Hollis had mentioned about GEorg. So, really, it is hard not to think of this as a spiritual successor of the original--probably the intent all along. All around though, a fairly good game. Bit easy though.

Multiplayer wasn't quite all that and a bag of chips honestly. Just general FPS sort of affair. A couple good modes though.

+_+

I'd make the contension that all the stages are GE derivatives, with certain ones merged. Depot+Train, Silo+Bunker (built atop an abandoned missile silo), etc.

+_+

Doesn't Eurocom just do console ports for hire to other companies? not certain how much they do themselves.

I do have this shooter and I must say: It's not the best one I've ever seen, but the Online really got me. It's such that on these days, shooters need online multiplayer. And, this is not the best, but very good. I've played lots of times, and I'm lvl 11 already. Oh right: If somebody needs mijn FriendCode, you can ask.
