Can a wii game from another country play on a north american wii?
My cousin from UK was going to get me " Pikmin 2, New Play control! " for the Nintendo Wii, but hes worried that a game from another country wouldn't work on an american console. Does anybody know if a wii game from England will work on an North american wii console?

short answer: it won't work

long answer: it won't work out of the box as consoles have what's called "region lock", which is something manufacturers use to control the market.
that doesn't mean it's not possible to make it work, though. There are plenty of exploits to use, some which require physical modification of the console, and some that don't.
You should find plenty of information on how to do this... elsewhere.

Dang it as allry radorn get to the topic befor me lol.

Well its call [region lock] Nintendo had this back even in the NES days and it blocks all games that are not in the same region system.

There has been way to hack the system to let you play anygame from any region but who wud want to brake it?

But if you really want to know how you need.

[SD card] any will work as long you dont past. [4 GB]

you need the homebrew channel im not going to tell you where to get it thu.

And last but not least you need to hack your wii with a app you can find this on a wii hacking page.

And thats all i done it my self and it will let you play any game you want in all regions.

My cousin had to do that with his PS1 to get it to play the Japanese versions of Dragon Ball Z..
