Everyone has heard about this one, and I was checking it out.

It is very strange, there is no opening scene, or any objects (which the no objects can be explained). All you have is the - which is like the key in the Silo. I turned on all weapons in it, and I had no double weapons, does this mean that it was in design for multi player use, or that the double weapons code was never programed in? Bond is wearing the famous "beta" blue suit. The music is also completly random from all stages and music in the game, just like multi player stages. It is glitchy, and the watch says error for the mission name. Also, the watch laser fires super fast. You start out with no weapon, not even slappers, w/o any cheats you don't even have slappers. Very strange.

Update: You start out with slapper, but when you select the - you loose slapper.

The Beta Bunker is very interesting. I like that you mentioned all that wierd stuff happening, it could prove Bunker 1 was going to be a Multiplayer stage at one point. Heres the deal, all that code does is use a different "setup" than the regular Bunker 1. BG and CD (Background and Collision Data) are the same, but the game had an extra Bunker 1 setup that is very strange.

Now that you mention "like a Multi stage", it could have been an early testing setup for when they were first trying to make setups for the multi stages.

Nearly every stage ID that isn't used by a real map, ends up being an emptied out version of the Bunker i. It plays random music because there is no song designated to it's identification number. The reason why there are no intro cameras, you wear the blue suit, and start out with the '-' weapon, can all be explained quite easily. There is no intro block for the stage. Infact, there isn't even a setup file. All that is loaded are the background and clipping files. With no cameras programmed in, it goes straight into first-person. Since there aren't any weapons or gadgets listed, you're given a null type weapon. And seeing as there's no specified cuff and costume, the blue dress suit is chosen by default. I believe there was one of these Bunker's that had a different sky. No big deal, it's just due to the ID having been tagged to a weather setup. Could it have been used for something? Probably not. It's likely that they changed things around a lot during development. My best guess is that this level is a fail safe, that forces the stage to load in case of an error. The briefing information was filler to keep it from crashing, which may have also been used prior to writing the actual briefings themselves. When you either die or attempt to abort the mission, the game locks up. It could be that it simply doesn't know where to go. I'm thinking that it is unable to read the briefing file and language text, which screws up the folders as they are loading. So, after saying all of that, I doubt there will be much more speculation regarding the map. Hehe, sorry. Razz

Well, I used the all objective complete cheat, and it didn't say any objectives were complete in the begining like it normally does, meaning there are no objectives. It probly just is a filler, but hey, you never know.
