From the pics and video I think this is the rom they used in the Gamecube ports, and that rom has already been leaked.
There's even a patch that translates the japanese names of the stages.

Perhaps this rom is older and has more beta elements in it.

I doubt the seller actually wants that much (the most expensive cartridge was like $11,000?), but he probably doesn't trust auctions and wants to discuss with the offeror personally.

I am guessing the final offer will be high - that's going to be a hot collector's item. It looks like the one dumped, but either way, not going to be cheap! If it's different, hopefully they dump rom, or at least comprehensively post on it.

Woah, that is quite a big cart for a prototype. And for $100,000 dollars? That a bit to much for a prototype. And being that there is only one known so far, it's quite odd.

And that's in Euros...
So that's like an extra thirty grand on there in American currency? That guy is certainly setting the bar high. I wonder what kind of offers he's been receiving from eBay members.

No, no. Those are British Pounds so it's even more. Almost $170,000! Shocked

D'oh, I had a feeling that was Pounds. Need to brush up on my foreign currency symbols! Razz

Looks like they were offered at least £10,000 a couple of times. Some of the offers are hilariously low. It's either down right now, or changed to a private listing.

I think there were some suggestions that maybe it was a regular dev cart (cause sticker looks like ripped off), that they burned using a writer with the released beta zelda rom, so maybe just trying to make a quick $.

I was about to post a reply and then saw that the seller had pulled this down...

And I'd only just got a chance to get out my BS detector and see if I could find something. You know guys that text on the cartridge is very very crisp and clear given that it's meant to be a very old item and that the other label has taken substantial damage.

I don't trust this.

The price is some what understandable. ocarina of time price here at stores be like about 40 or more dollars. The Gold cartridge is ALOT more.
I'm sure if it contains elements that most true OOT fans have not seen. A rom will be made.
