I did a lot of reading about bit torrents before my first download. So far I've only downloaded season 5 of Dexter and am already seeding it.

If anyone is part of a private community, I have a question about the etiquette: Is downloading and seeding a good enough practice, or is it generally better if your supplying your own downloaded videos as well?

I have a friend in demonoid but I'd hate to join just to be kicked out.

It's completely optional to Seed. It will destroy your internet connection if you choose to, though.

seeding depends on the tracker policy. most communities with a registration and soo on, do require you keep a certain ratio.
public torrents are another matter. I prefer to try to seed back even for public torrents...
