The inserted light doesn't seem to be saved.
1. Select Edit PD Lighting Mode in Visual Editor
2. Lighting ON
3. Insert Light
4. Edit Lighting Properties
5. Save Setup Uncompressed
6. Open Setup Uncompressed (Reload the saved file)
Result: Not saved

Lighting is part of the background file, and not the setup. You'll need to export a new version of the BG file in order to show your lighting changes. That may affect certain things within the map, but it's hard to say until you look around in game. Mainly the railings and floors with transparent pieces, which are carefully set to not overlap each other visually from various angles (this happens in GE maps). This format is not handled by the PD Editor when exported. I added lighting to Car Park once before, and you could see the visual overlap of the railings in each of the spiral ramp towers. Nothing serious. There may be other potential issues, especially with environment mapped set pieces, though I have not tested too much. |
