I think it can be done by a port to the GameShark to the PC. And you need a program as well to do it.
I think zoinkity will know more about it then I do. Since I did not mess with a GameShark in over a year. I really need to get back into that GameShark hacking stuff again. I remember I made mario run upside down back then with the 3.3 GameShark. Ah good times..... _________________ There totally nothing to read here. |

Yes, you can upgrade a 3.2 into a 3.3. Mine is, in fact.
What you need is any version of the official Datel utilities (hacked or otherwise--if you run 16bit windows there's another program as well) and the encrypted BIOS for it.
Note even if the transfer fails the uploaded file will only replace your current BIOS if it passes console and internal checksum. A bad transfer will not kill your GameShark!
Taken from the PD trainer readme:
Installing:
Backup your existing ar3.enc/gs3.enc file from your N64 Utils folder.
Just rename it to ar3backup.enc or something. Then simply extract
the ar3.enc in this archive to the directory of your N64 Utils.
Switch on your N64 and get to the AR/GS main menu. Make sure you have
the suitable cable connected between your Pc and AR/GS comms link.
Run the N64 Utils and go to "Other Utilities" and click Upgrade.
This will start the upgrade procedure which should not take longer
than 30 seconds. The N64 screen will say "Upgrade Completed" if
successful.

I renamed each of these to correspond with what they are.
Code: | ar3.enc Pro Action Replay 3.3 (I think...if somebody can verify)
rom32.enc GameShark 3.2
rom33.enc GameShark 3.3
