Olllllo here:

if he wants a new card for additional purposes then it should be no problem -
if its just for the Font troubles , then yes it will be a bit ridiculous -

if i where to buy a new card for the thing it would be for me to be enabled to play batman gotham city or some new game with cranked up graphics -
if possible with a connection to TV to be able to play the games on a 3D tv whenever i get the chance.....

NOW - i think that part of the problem is that the symptoms should be called something else - the problem is i can't think of anything that should help research it well.
this problem i have a feeling that it is not so rare - it might be common for quite a bunch of cards out there.

Aries, do you know anyone else that has a similar machine to yours? -
it would be helpful to test MUPEN or other problem programs on a 'duplicate" machine & see if this happens too.

i Found a couple of things:

Here:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itprovistadesktopui/thread/c529a98b-731b-485a-8311-514623d98880
the Wednesday, August 10, 2011 5:37 AM reply seems to do the trick -
the last 2 replies seem to have the solution , if not they talk about registry hacks for the font size and other junk -

ALSO -

this solution is similar to what i did years ago for one machine.

Another program with the same type of troubles:

Well none of that work. But thank you for trying to help me Oldyz.

I guess I gotta buy my self a new video card. But besides just the mess up programs and stuff. I also have games that i can never set to high because of the flickering and stuff.

So it might be better off doing that.

Sorry for another post. But Oldzy I fix it. Turn out I had to log off and log back in my account on my laptop.

So what I had to do was.

Go into Regedit

Go into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Fonts.

Once I was in there I had to go all the way down till I saw MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24

Once I click it and open the window.

I had to change the Value data from SSERIFF.FON to SSERIFE.FON

This loads all fonts and words on my Windows 7 perfect now.

Here some pics.

The font and the words all display perfectly now.

Thank you OldyZ.

If anyone here who has a overlapping problem like I do. You all might want to try what I did. It made everything display right now.

Oldyz, Oldyz

troll using someone else's account and they getz all the credit -
in any case the thanks are better sent to the poor souls that had to deal with this mess before - as most of the time i had a lucky guess
Laughing

I think all different emulators should get their own threads with most common graphic plugins settings explained, and that mupen ones should get Aries'es fix added to the set of instructions (for playing Goldeneye and PD) -
windows 7 has issues mates... this seems to be not so estrange as an occurrence

i would like to test all emus, but with current equipment i'm afraid that it is so caduco, that any settings might not be relevant .....

Indeed. And a Aries Fix now thats funny. Laughing

So far everything looks perfect since I had that one tiny value change.

And my video card had an update as well.

Its has fully change from one name to another.

It used to be called Intel(R) HD Graphic Family. Now its called Intel(R) HD Graphic. And it fix all my video game video problems as well. Shocked

I'm shock on how well Windows Updates even keeps up on video cards as well.

So now my laptop is perfect. Very Happy
