why everytime i try applying a Xdelta patch it says 'Unknown error patching!!?'  |

I've never had that error. Perhaps is because you are trying to patch the wrong rom?
I use:
GoldenEye 007 (U) [!].z64
Perfect Dark (V1.1) (U) [!].v64 |
