What is your most annoying character in your gaming history?
Mine is....and im sure many will agree.Its that damn Slippy.That frog man women whatever is so ANNOYING.Sounds like a damn...well i dont know what it sounds like just pisses me off haha.Slippy is always the one asking for help to,Slippy:Get this guy off me.When it yes i said it.When it says that i think...Shut the hell up.But i hated it because to get a medal in the level all wing men must be alive.
If you dont know where Slippy is from its from Star Fox 64.

Grimshaw from Perfect Dark.
I don't know why, but I take personal offense to his character. He's supposed to be their tech specialist, who even refers to his sector as "Hacker Central". His voice was so bloody annoying, it's beyond funny. It's no surprise that he's neglected - or personally removed - when playing the Defense mission.

Grimshaw, if I find out anything new, you'll be the last to hear about it.

He's actually my favorite character in Perfect Dark, same goes for Elvis and Dr.Carrol(not himself, just that he is an amazing piece of tech).

On topic: I'd say Navi from Ocarina of time...you can guess why....
Also, Slippy, his constant need of assistance makes me shoot him on purpose.
Can't really remember who else...

I had a hard time trying to remember who was the most annoying videogame character to me. Slippy isn't the best character but I don't dislike him very much; I consider Navi one of the best characters in the Zelda series (heh, seems that I'm almost alone here).

So I began to remember most of the games I've played one after the other. Ozzie from Chrono Trigger could be a candidate, but he doesn't have a very big rol. Steiner from Final Fantasy IX was an stupid knight at first but evolved through the game to became one of my favourite characters. Collete from Tales of Symphonia was annoying at the first part of the game but I don't have a very negative memory of her so it should be a similar case to Steiner...


I was giving up on finding one character I really hate and then I saw one of the last games I've played (actually, the second to last) and the answer revealed clearly:

FAY from The Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword

is by far the most annoying character of all, and I doubt there will be more annoying characters as (she? it?). Fay interrupts the game after you take a few steps to say some redundant info you have already heard or to point out the obvious solution to the puzzle you are solving. When you are low on health she tells you to go find some hearts or drink a potion, when you are looking for something she says there's an X% of chances to find it in some location, etc. When you have +4 hours of batteries left she tells you you shoud change them in the sloooooowest message of all the game. She also has some of the most ridiculous cinematics I've seen in a Zelda game (seeing her sing was like )

Luckily I won't see her/it again.

Navi's a she. She's annoying because of the constant "HEY, LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! WATCH OUT! HEY!"

I have heard plenty of people complain about Navi being annoying, but she never bothered me. Maybe I just tuned her out or something. If anything, I found her to be useful in many circumstances.

Navi is my least worry about character that bothers me. And I can completely agree slippy puts people over the edge making you want to rip his head out of the game and throw him away.

I agree with sogun though Fay is unbelievably annoying. I really sometimes wish she had a mute option.

But the character that did nothing more then piss me off was Midna from Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess. Her annoying voice did it for me. those laughs and everything.

I don't know if I'm alone on this, but fighting Ken or Ryu in Street Fighter 2. The constant hadoukens, and if you jump in, get bust with a shoryuken. They were so cheap when you played them.

Ha exactly Midna maybe another pain.
Navi though on hey listen watch out stuff,its not like SHE says it loud.When ever you target,i usually dont hear her,due to music or fight.
On stoners part yes,i feel you.His stats are very annoying,and him spamming those attacks dont help either.

Slippy used to not be annoying... then SF64 came out.

The announcer from WaveRace 64 always got on my nerves. Seriously, he's paying attention to ONE RACER, & THAT'S YOU!

Also, the Lakitu who's also the cameraman in Super Mario 64 would annoy me to hell with all the weird angles he would be in. I'd try to use the C buttons, but sometimes it doesn't let you!

As for actual in-game characters... this is going to sound weird, but I didn't really have much of an affinity for Joanna Dark: she wasn't funny & she talked a lot (with an attitude)
