Every once in a while I get the urge to bust out my commodore 64 computer, and the other day I was browsing online through a top 100 c64 games list. One of the games on that list was one I had never heard of before - "Wasteland." Sounds like this was quite the classic so I'm surprised I had never heard of it before.
Anybody here ever play it? Looks like it was also released for Apple and DOS.
On a separate note, another game I had never heard of before was Turrican II - I was blown away by the graphics and gameplay for such an old game - easily the best side-scroller I've ever seen for the c64

Seriously? You have never heard of Turrican II?
It is indeed the BEST EVER side scrolling shoot-em-up EVER.
The Amiga-version is the best (and original too), but C64-version kicks butts too. Definetly worth playing through.
My all time favorite music comes from that game also (again, Amiga version), Chris Huelsbeck did amazing job. Check out the soundtrack. |
