 |
|
I'm not sure if this is the right subforum to ask on (please move it to the correct one, if it's not), but are there any forums or web sites dealing with N64 homebrew games/programs, or N64 game hacking sites? The only site I know of for N64 hacks (other than shootersforever.com and goldeneyevault.com, of course) is romhacking.net
http://www.romhacking.net/?page=hacks&genre=&platform=27&game=&category=&perpage=20&title=&author=&hacksearch=Go
and I'm keen to try other N64 homebrew and game hacks, if any are available.
Thanks for any answers. |

assemblergames.com
Development, homebrew, documentation, and preservation site.
More hit and miss is 64scener:
http://www.64scener.com/
Though when there is news they tend to get it pretty quick.
There's a few game specific ones I can think of, though they tend toward n00Bism or drama. Unless you're really interested in F-Zero X, Mario 64, or Zelda it's not a bad idea to stand clear.
If you're interested in homebrew, two that come to mind are:
http://www.dragonminded.com/n64dev/
and Marshall's site:
http://retroactive.be/
There's also the USF project, which is really a very focused form of hacking PJ64 savestates and ROMs so the games plays nothing but their music. That's run by Halley's Comet Software, and he's also responsible for a pretty good NES emu written in pure assembly.

Great, I'll look through them. And thanks for the warning about game specific forums - I've seen similar elitist-filled boards before (usually on forums aimed at one games machine or another) and they aren't pleasant places for newcomers. |
