My opinion of it of course. I just don't think that the current bond fits Bond.

You shouldn't speak of spoilers that freely. Not everybody has watched the movie yet even if they are all Bond fans, so it's better to not talk about that. I ask you to edit that part of your message.

For me the movie wasn't that bad, but even as an action movie it doesn't shine. It has some cool fights and persecutions at the beginning (but not as good as the first Casino Royal scene). But after the bad guy reveals himself the movie doesn't make sense at all, and some scenes are a bit ridiculous.

Javier Bardem is an excellent actor, but in Skyfall he's too extravagant. I don't know if it's because the script was like that, because of the director or because Bardem wanted to do it that way. I didn't like him.

I think it will be better than Quantum of Solace, because that one was really bad. And I don't like Craig as bond, but he seems to fit the new action-figure-style-or something like that. Gone are the charming things, here is the raw action...

I'm indifferent about Craig. It's a Bond for a different generation. I liked Casino Royale, never seen QoS, but I liked Skyfall alot. Maybe I have a bias towards the movie due to a major plot point which I won't spoil.

Yes,I should have deeply remembered that some might have not seen the movie yet. I guess I was just not to thrilled about it.
But,if I remember right,Craig's contract maybe coming to end.

I'm a big Bond fan, and I love Skyfall. I thought it was mostly very good, and I think Craig is a great Bond - it's true he's not the conventional movie version of Bond, being neither as elegant nor as charasmatic as earlier Bonds, but more realistic. The Craig films are different in tone from the earlier Bonds, and though I'd have been glad to see Brosnan kept on (to me he was a brilliant Bond, second only to Connery) I think Craig does a great job of the part.

Regarding Skyfall I loved almost all of it, the plot, the dialogue, the theme tune, the CGI scenes during the intro song (really suited the song, unlike most Bond CGI intros that are genric),

[h]the idea that Bond is getting long in the tooth, the young Q to emphasise this, the villain (I thought he was great, he achieved what the best movie villains do, in that he seems more likable than the hero) and made me feel sorry for him, he seemed to have more depth than most Bond villains. Loved the nod to the Goldfinger Car, and seeing a bit of Bond's past was great, and Dame Judy Dench was brilliant as always, as M.

What I didn't like was that new woman becoming Moneypenny, as to me Moneypenny was a consummate professional secretary, not a hands on field agent, the "Did you expect a pen that shoots darts? We don't do that sort of thing any more" line from Q felt false (though Q himself, and most of his scenes/dialogue, was great), and for once I'd have liked to see computer hacking that couldn't achieve miracles (in movies you can do anything if you are a good enough hacker).[/h]

But overall I think the good massively outweighed the bad, and whilst I don't know if I'd say it's the best Bond film ever (time, and a couple more viewings will help me decide), I definitely think it's up there with the best.

They still make some great films. Cloud Atlas is *fantastic*, for example.

I love Brosnan just as much as you guys but Craig is a good Bond as well.

In general I don't like the heavily angry/angsty combo a lot of british drama has been pushing.

I don't mind that Bond doesn't like himself, or that he's short with people sometimes. The point was that he wore a mask to hide it from others and himself. Otherwise, it feels too much like a very violent soap opera.

Have to say though, Craig was the perfect choice for the 'drunken brawler' type Bond. Dark, chiseled; much like Frankenstein ;*)

We all must admit,it's a really hard choice to say which is the Best Bond movie. Just it's hard to say who is the bad Villain.
