This is Version 1 of Deep Sea in combat simulator with working teleportals for Player 1 ONLY. Until Player 2's Guard ID can be properly identified in combat simulator, this will have to do. Petition Subdrag to release an ID table so I can finish this if you really like it because Player 2 is not detectable to the action block commands in combat simulator. Velvet works in CO-OPERATIVE but then freezes where she is and you cannot move her. Overwrite the INCLUDED Setup Binary to Deep Sea's Solo setup and start a CO-OPERATIVE game and you'll see what I mean. I tried to be fair and give Player 2 the best selection of weapons to collect before Player 1 can get to them. Please review this release and let me know just how long you were able to play 2 Players before running out of teleports so I can add more. If you can play at least 20 minutes with this then hopefully that should be satisfactory. Thanks for your patience and the delay on this release. I will go back in the future and try to work on getting Player 2 to work. Enjoy! MultiplayerX

You are right about neither F2 nor F5 working for player 2, though I don't know why. In co-op they use F5.

I'm checking it out via disassembly, I see what's wrong, trying to fix (for temporary patch for a ROM).

EXCELLENT! I'm excited and look forward to finishing this with both players. I'll try it in other levels once you check it out. Thanks Sub!

Oh doh, your patch didn't include F5 for player 2. Can you try using this patch, and then duplicate all the blocks for F5? P3/P4 will not warp (or sims). Use F5 for P2, F8 for P1.

I think it will work (P1/P2 warping only). But need you to test. It worked in my test patch at least.

okay might be tomorrow but will try tonight if possible player 3 and 4 is no big deal just having 2 player I believe is a major achievement

EDIT:
going to test it here in a few minutes after adding a pad and action blocks

Looking into player 3/4, though may not be as easy, checking though.

This patch proves it works, at least for Deep Sea 2P, I did some tests:

http://www.battlefieldforever.com/hackers/priv/subdrag/PDDeepSeaF5P2Enabled.xdelta

I think need more warps though, they go fast!

I meant to mention - this will break solo horribly. Hopefully no consequences in multi...

Maybe deep sea should be in its own patch.

Btw - Use F4 for player 3. There's no player 4 currently.

SUCCESS!!!!! It works! I walked Player 2 FIRST to make sure it can work independently and energize! Wink BEAUTIFUL work Sub. I'll work on 2 Player starting tomorrow AND see about some extra hidden warp places just in case Wink This is exciting news! Wait and I'll post the test for everyone to try Wink

I must admit, it's a bit of a hack, and only supports P1-3 (no P4):
P1:F8
P2:F5
P3:F4

(it's also easily reversible if need be, just one file to change)

Hopefully no side effects. Solo/co-op/counter-op will be broken btw. Only multi. And hopefully no other impacts in multi.

here is a TEASER for a player 2 version. Excellent hack and this is probably the biggest thing to happen to Perfect Dark since having all solos in combat sim. Wink Bravo to the Rare king. Cool

TEST XDELTA:

http://www.kalleload.net/uploads/yaapbx/pgpkbixaobvr.zip

QUITE HONESTLY I BELIEVE I'LL BE STOPPING AT 2 PLAYER. We are talking 128 pads and action blocks once this beastie is done. It will be DAYS before I finish 2 player and have it have a nice natural feel. The pads are touchy and have to be carefully spaced so you don't waste one. They tend to merge together if too close together Wink

Do the portals remain animated once used in splitscreen ? Will bots crash the rom ?

I remember just from first test you upped, I ran thru with Joanna and the portal stayed frozen

Hmmmmm you must be using console bro. No the portals should close. Make sure you are using version 1.1 for your game. As you can see by my VIDEO GIF above it works fine in PJ64 Wink
