Okay I'm super new here (first post ever here).

I don't know if I'm posting in the right section or not, but anyway.

I saw that someone ported SM64 levels into GoldenEye and said "holy sh$t!" and decided to check out what is going on in this community.

Anyway, I had an idea and here it is.

I've always liked GoldenEye, but whenever I shot someone I usually held the R button to get my cross hairs on the screen and then fired the gun.

I always preferred this because I never understood how to shoot someone in this game when you can't like aim your gun.

So I would like to make a hack where I made the controls more like the controls of Halo!

In Halo you have one analog joystick for walking and another one for aiming your cross hairs.

This can also be achieved with the N64 controller since there is a D-pad and an analog joystick.

The D-pad can be used for walking or aiming and the joystick can be used for the other function.

Now that I think about it I think I'm southpaw on Halo so I think I'd be aiming with the D-pad and walking with the joystick.

Well anyway and also I would love to see or maybe I may create this multiplayer map from Conker's bad fur day

Let me know what you think.

GoldenEye actually has dual analog controls, but you obviously need a second controller. 2.2 should be similar to Halo. So is 1.2, if you use the D-pad to move. If you're talking about aim mode, keep in mind you don't need to use it to aim (although it's obviously much easier since you get a crosshair) - PD has a "target" crosshair without the need to aim.

Trying to figure out controls can be distasteful. Hopefully it's the one subject I've talked the least about.
