I was contemplating what levels the rain can be used in, or would be suitable for, and I thought: hey, I wonder what Chicago: Streets looks like with a sunny skybox and no rain?

Anyone up for it?

It might be cool to have it rain hard for a bit, then the sun come out.

Not me, I love rain, plus I think rain + night sky adds to the atmosphere of Perfect Dark.

It's not whether you like rain or not, it's to see how the level would look without it. It's never been done.

Sounds like a good idea. You could try this for other levels as well.

Wouldent you have to change the shading and lightning for some spots to.
Also the Villa would be creepy if it had Chicago's rain. Question

There are so many levels these weather/environment experiments can be done on... It definitely changes the perspective of the level and how it feels.

I'd like to see the results of that actually, as it wouldn't surprise me if there were some other little considerations that make up the weather system. It's actually a crying shame that goldeneye never had any support for weather effects Smile

Couldn't agree more Kane. Wink Surface would have been beautiful with some snowfall in it and the Dam level would look really neat with rain. Very Happy Wonder if those action blocks could be converted into GE? Wink Have to ask Sub what he thinks.

I'v tried back then and I did not manage. Closest thing I got was setting the sky all the way white. Kinda made Surface look like a cold blizzard.

I used to think Depot from GE would be cool in the daytime, but that map already suffers enough being in darkness. Chicago under daylight could look nice, and the Villa during nightfall would make for a really neat sneaking mission.
