If I set a guard path following the procedure below, I couldn't activate the guard path.

1. Insert a Guard
2. set the same value to binary flags of Guard as Guard that has been set Path in the other stage.
3. set the same value to bitflags of Preset as Guard that has been set Path in the other stage.
4. set Path
5. set Action Block

Code:
009A05     Set Guard Reaction Time 009A (05)
009855     Set Guard Accuracy 0098 (55)
0096FD0050 Set Guard Health (Guard [whatever called it])
010E0000   Set Guard Shield Amount 010E (0000)
002100     Activate Path 0021 (00)
0022       Start Path
0005FD0006 Jal To Function 05? (Guard [whatever called it]) (JAL TO: 0006) Seated Guard
0004       Terminator

However, if guard that I copied from another stage set Action Block, I can activate the guard path. Surprised
Is there items that must be set else?

Glad you caught this, very interesting. I'm adding this bitflag to editor. I guess it will be off by default.

I found it and have added the bitflag! Wow, there are a lot of unknown guard bitflags. I had to rearrange and add another bitflag editbox, so hopefully you don't get confused.

I'm looking forward to edit guards in "dataDyne Facility - Stealth". Very Happy

Oops forgot to upload the beta, just did. Grab it if you didn't already. Also, Wreck suggested maybe in the future we need a better default editor guard insert. I think we need to know more about flags first though.

new bit flag
"00008100": Guard path can't be activated
"00008000": Guard path can be activated
"00000000": Guard path can be activated
"00000100": Guard path can't be activated

I think "00008000" is not "Guard Walks on Path".
If "00000100" is false, it is "Guard Walks on Path".

"00000100" may assign the guard to action to observe something.
e.g. Defection - Guard #0017

[EDIT]
Second binary Flags
"00040000": When the guard found Joannna, activate the alarm
I don't know where guards go to activate the alarm. Smile

e.g. G5 Building - Guard #0010

Action Block #0007: Guard strikes toward Joanna
e.g. Pelagic II - Guard #001B ID: 5E
Action Block #1010 on line 120
Action Block #413 on line 8

Hmm, so is it possible 0x8000 is unknown bitflag, and 0x100 is disable guard path? I've added as such hehe, and updated the default guard to not have it disabled.

One note, is I think these bitflags require the seated guard 0006 action to be assigned. Otherwise, I think they take no effect (think maybe read by that).

Thanks.

0x100 is action to operate the switch than disable guard path.
The guard always operates the switch until he finds Joanna.

e.g. Defection - Guard #0017

I see. Smile

Ah, so by operating the console, he no longer will walk on the path since he's doing that. Then when he sees Jo, he goes after her I guess. That makes sense. I updated text.
