|
|
There is guard sitting in Defection.
e.g. Defection - Guard #01E, #01F
When he stood up, the chair moves back. I deleted all action blocks and set the 0006 to the guard, but the chair moves back.
I think the chair and the guard are linked, because I had kept the guard clear of the chair, but the chair moves back.
I copied these objects, but the chair didn't move back.
This is an unknown linked object? |

Hmm, I don't think they're tagged, could it be a flag on the chair? I did some tests in DDHQ (http://www.shootersforever.com/forums_message_boards/viewtopic.php?t=5132&sid=bc9d727112d18cc3d1443d98ae075102) and I never tagged the chair, but did copy the chair and guard. |

There are some other oddities with the chairs, too. If the chair prop is unable to move backwards when the guard gets out of it, the prop will break. That way they won't get trapped inside the collisions of the chair and be free to move around. Another interesting note, are the chairs from GoldenEye are normally 0.1 scale. However, in order for them to work properly as seats, I needed to rescale them to 1.0. Maybe the guard body requires the full sized bounding box for collisions. _________________

Thank you. That is interesting.
I copied the chair and guard, but that didn't work.
Because version of tool is different? |

I added 16 tag to the chair copied, but that don't work.
If a guard close to the chair when you change him, chair seems to move when he stood up.

I deleted 16 tag object of the chair (Defection - #039). The chair didn't move when the guard stood up.
Next, I added new 16 Tag object of the chair (#063 16 tag of #053 chair), but the chair didn't move when the guard stood up.
I wonder what something of 16 tag objects is missing?

Hmm, could one of the actions use the 16 object for chair and cause that effect? Maybe set flag on chair or tie to guard id? |

The chair moved even if I put a different guard, so "tie to guard id" may be different.

Next, I added new 16 Tag object of the chair (#063 16 tag of #053 chair), but the chair didn't move when the guard stood up. |
After that, I changed from #063 to #039 of the 16 object number. The chair moved. (The chair don't move when 16 object number had been set #063)
Unknown action block may be set to 16 object number (#039)? |

What you said helped me clue in on it. So it looks like it's not based on action.
This is the guard chunk for that guard
0000000900004000001E01CE6EFF0417
FFFFFFFF03E80064C800000000000100
020D00390000000000020000
I bolded the 39 in the guard. Perhaps it's part of the guard after all!
EDIT: I tested it, and it works! Adding to editor. |
