The Televisa television network has announced the death of iconic Mexican comedian Roberto Gomez Bolanos. Better known as "Chespirito," he wrote and played the boy television character "El Chavo del Ocho" that defined a generation for millions of Latin American children.

I enjoyed his "Chapulin Colorado" show back when I was a kid a lot. The opening lyrics were hilarious.
I was a little older when they aired "El Chavo del Ocho" and I only saw a couple of episodes, but my little brother watched it.
