Hey everyone. I need some help. There's a retro game tournament going on at my local game store, and one of the games that's gonna be there is Super Smash Bros. I was hoping that some people would help me train for this competition. I really wanna look good in front of anyone that's gonna be there. I already got a few people to help, but more help will definitely be accepted! Smile

I can't help you train but I can offer some hints for Super Smash Bros N64:
-Button Mashing works: While many other games actually set up so that people can't just bash buttons, this isn't one of them. It's easy to trap a player and deliver damage with constant mashing of the standard hit button
-Fight dirty: knock people out of the map, hang back on the action while other players are duking it out and come in at the last minute to knock them both away, get yourself in the high ground where you can drop down and attack, or if you're playing as one of the characters with a good rising attack do the same from underneath
-Different characters have different tricks, Yoshi can be used to "lay" someone off the edge and can fly but can't "triple jump". There's a bit of a rock paper scissors thing with the characters too. Discuss the use of "boss" characters with the tournament organisers.
-Talk Smack: That one guy making jokes and making other people laugh usually puts other players off their game. It works Wink

The lack of sportsmanship has kept me away from gaming with people. Though no matter what you do someone's going to hate it.
