Hello.

I have a problem. I have some Japanese games and a few NTSC games.
Opening cartridges from Hybrid Heaven NTSC and GoldenEye 007 Japanese worked fine.

But when I wanted to open another cartridge, Extreme G NTSC, Pokemon Stadium Japanese, it doesn't seem to work and I use the same gamebit as the Hybrid Heaven and GoldenEye 007 one.
The problem is that the gamebit seems to get stuck or something, I can't rotate it to get the screw out.

Am I doing something wrong, are the screws a tad different or just harder to open?
I do exactly the same as with the Hybrid Heaven and GoldenEye 007 carts.

What do I need to do?
Thanks in advance.

P.S. I'm NOT interested in opening the Nintendo 64 console.

That's weird. I haven't had any issues with opening my carts. Maybe the tool you have wasn't made all that great? Like the screw head isn't fitting into it right? I got a set of both sizes (for carts and console) from a seller on eBay. Both are yellow handled screwdrivers. I have had some trouble with the driver I bought to open my Wii stuff, though. Slips out a lot, feels like some screws could get stripped if I'm not careful.

Yes stripping is an issue. In saying that they're not usually put together all that tight so they can be budged with a small pair of pliers (think jewellers or fly fishing pliers) but it's far from easy! I ended up modifying a flat head screwdriver with a file and angle grinder and sort of "feeling out" the good pins.

As for the gamebit getting stuck - it sounds like something might be off centre so the edges of it bind during the twisting motion. Were a screw slanted or even poorly manufactured (or if the gamebit itself was off centre) that'd be enough to do it.
