Sorry for the bump.

Some of the imported GE weapon models finally got approved for the VG resource in their "models resource" section.

Linky here

I only got the RC-P90 and the Klobb submitted. I had the GE shotgun done, but the textures bugged out on export, and therefore, could not be submitted.

Moved from GoldenEyeX Anouncement

I can send the fixed RC-P90 model and the sniper thingy (when done) to a PM. I just need to know where to submit the files.

Well, since I already have the FN-P90 direct from GoldenEye I dont need that, also thanks for your apretiation, I forgot to say so last post.

However, with regard to the 'Sniper thingy', If you are modeling a real rifle then sure, Ill accept it (although not to sure what exactly you expect me to do with it?).

Rifles can be customised greatly, so it does give a lot of freedom on that side of things.

Parts of a rifle that are 'Standard' to a type are the action, workings and callibre.
Stocks and accessories are all custom. (unless mass produced of course, but snipers usually get to choose since they are specialised)

Eg You cant call a bolt action a garand because a garand is a semi-automatic, clip-loaded rifle.
Same goes for a Le-Enfielfd, it cant be a le-Enfield if it doesnt have a bolt-action and a 10rnd magazine.

You can send the zip by email
I beleve I have my shooters account set up to show that info.
Again though, Im not to sure what you want me to do with it. Anything to do with GEX goes through Wreck.
For import into Perfect Dark that should now be pretty much suported in PerfectGold with not much to do now (though no animations).
GoldenEye requires more work to Z-Order the faces correctly before importing with PerfectGold.

I thought it would save some time since the model is the GE64 model with all the cracks removed and making reloads easier.

And for the sniper thing, I thought it would be a decent weapon to give more diversity to GE's weapon set. Since there's two of every weapon type except for the snipers. When I get the textures and details done I'll post it.

The Sniper itself was based off a toy that was laying around in my house. I just removed the bolt and added a clip.

I also remember saying about Control as a multi map and that it's too complex. What if I made a dumbed down version? I also feel like Frigate should have shutter textures on the windows on the multi version, since you cannot see any polys outside, and it's a black void.

Also, may make a new thread in Mapping and Modeling for this to prevent derailing. Mods can move those posts there.

Ive already fixed the holes, thats why I didnt need the model.
There were actually less holes than what you showed from the model exported via PerfectGold (Since you said yours was a watch menu export, I assume you exported via emulator)

In GE you cant really use clips since there is no animation assosiated with them. In PD one would need to be made for them.
Just for refrence in case Ive mis understood you...

Using Meshlab and Nemu 64's export to VRML function, you can import the current scene you're playing your emulator. With this, you can remove all the un-needed models and get the weapons you want. (This best works on the weapon select menu on the pause screen on solo missions)

So far, I have the basic weapons.

Falcon 2.

PD shotgun.

AR34

K7 Avenger

RC-P90

Model downloads will be available when The Models Resource will accept them. (I will also do more models)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Vivi

It's better to just export them from the GE/PD setup editors, the way I did so was primitive and time consuming, when you could just export it with a single button.

Also, the way I did so also made a-lot of textures lost int the progress of exporting.

are these available to download yet? I tried GE/PD setup editor and it crashed while trying to load a rom, plus it was way more confusing than I thought.

Did you set your quick ROM? It should be pretty straightforward to rip models.

It's simple. Open up a map via File | Open Setup (Uncompressed) and go to the geeditor directory. Open the files UsetupchicagoZ.bin and bg_chicago_pads.bin. Then open the visual editor (Edit Setup | Visual Editor). Once that's finished loading open the animation viewer (Tools | Animation) and wait for it to load. There you can select first person animations from the drop down menu and export as fbx model files, complete with rigged bones.

I have had the same issue with GoldenEye modification. What that error basically means is that your Perfect Dark ROM is not fit for such modification. What will probably help you the most is getting a new rom from a different website. Hope this helped!

Yeah, like Optic pointed out, there's likely something going on with the ROM you're using. There's a surprising number of bad ROMs floating around out there, so you might need to locate a few before finding one that actually works. Just make sure that it's NTSC v1.1 ROM, or else it won't be fully compatible.
