I sorta forgot this topic existed. Whooo.
I've been working on the KF7 now, and my modelling skills are far better than when I lasted posted a model.

Here's some renders of the model in Blender. Sadly, KHED screws up model UVs when exported to .obj

Oh, one issue with your model...
Your bolt is on the wrong side.
The AK bolt if on the right, not left (Most guns are on right, as is the ejection port so the user isnt hit by their own empty cases)

The actual N64 KF7 model actually suggests the bolt was on the wrong side through a texture, like the older Counter Strike models
I'll change it for logical reasons, though. _________________ This is a signature, why did you read this? |

You could argue that this AK was specially designed for a left-handed user. But yeah, the airsoft AK I have also does have it on the right side. Hopefully it won't be too time consuming to adjust it. Looks quite nice overall, though. |

Yeah, I see what you are saying, but remember that rare were hevilly recycling textures, and its not to say they were hot on guns either.
Most are pretty good representations and have stood for 15 years, but when you start making them hi-res you start to notice the flaws.
I should also point out, if I havnt already, that the pistols in GE at least are scaled at 1:1.2, that is, they are bigger than real guns in milimeter units.
I never checked the rifles because there was no need as I was not tieing into an existing hand model.
A Lot of things in GE are also 10% bigger than normal for some odd reason.
The only thing I can think of is that it seemed more work to reduce bonds height than to scale everything else up.

Edit, having just loaded the AK in Perfectgold I see what you mean, Rare drew it backwards, but its also backwards for 2 reasons.
Not only is the bolt on the left, its in the "Open" position.
I think we should mirror this for GEX, you dotn really see it in 1st person anyway, but in the watch/holo projector you do.
wow, that was easy, click body, rt click, mirror room x, double click on bolt, rt click, edit uv, select all, mirror x, import from visual, inject _________________
