Everyone's suggestion is valid. Nobody bashes your list of suggestions and constantly bringing up hit impact sounds, so why should you?

All I'm saying is is that this kid bashes everyone's opinions but his is seemingly never without flaw they way he puts it, I'm sorry but I'm just tired of seeing him constantly bringing up these things that need to be fixed (every other post)as if the GEX crew don't already have a list of things to do(including what was already mentioned). As I said they have lives and the project will be worked on whenever they have the free time. No need to bring stuff up over and over and over, it really just irritates some of us.
But hey that's just my two cents, just wanted to clear things up.

Sorry if Im off subject (didnt know where to put this)...was the "Cuba" multiplayer in Version 3a a small Jungle Arena? I couldn't get my 3a version to play on emulator so I was just curious..I also couldn't get it to patch again. (Did the same patching technique I always did with the correct rom)

Let's not fight about it. Like MRKane says, Proximity mines are pretty annoying but I agree with Thundera that I think we're obligated to keep them in, true to original Goldeneye form. No doubt some people still like to play with them.

The idea of a smoke grenade is interesting. If it was done, I wonder if it ought to be the secondary function of a weapon (ie like the SuperDragon). Thundera has a valid point about fixing bugs being high up on the agenda but I imagine any new weapons or features are much more likely to be interesting to the creators. There is capacity for weapons, characters and maps in the PD engine when compared to GE and so GE:X releases let us try extra things out in addition to original GE bits. They are either better or worse and with each iteration each version is better that the last. Working on bugs is probably a pretty painful and unrewarding grind.

I think it's worth noting that I doubt that focusing on new things is to the detriment of the project at all. I think if creative juices are flowing there is more enthusiasm and more progress.

Dark Reyn makes good points here. I would be up for some new stuff too but the things there is only so much space left for so many weapons, characters, levels. I don't mind any of it as long as a GoldenEye weapon, character, level isn't sacrificed in the process. I still would love to see maps like Peach's Castle (with portrait trick) and Mario Kart 64's Blockfort make it in at some point. I would also be up for a Scaramanga character too.

I have had a quick skim through the this conversation since 5e was released having initially joined at around page 40. I had a couple of comments which may be a little behind.

Renagadist, Thundera, Saturn and Kerr Avon have previously mentioned the scenarios. In particular, You Only Live Twice (ie setting a stock limit or limits for each player) and TMWTGG (altering the respawn time of a weapon / making a weapon a flag (plus other changes). I understand that at present, these are not possible due to us having not yet worked out how to edit these parameters. Are there members who are knowledgable about finding GS codes or finding the labels for these parameters?

Re Grenade Launcher animation I fully favour the slow one at a time animation akin to the PD shotgun. Given how overpowered it is and that other reloads have been slowed I think it would strange to keep this one quick.

There has been much discussion about adding more MP levels. The one that jumps out at me as a good one is Control. I'm curious what it is about the map that makes it run poorly. If the starting area side is locked off, with the possible removal of the back area and turret room also if needbe, does it still run slow? The main area (with glass that regenerates) would make for an interesting arena. Are the steps part of the problem? If so, could they not be replaced with something a lot simpler eg. 2 dimensional steps or even a slope.

Regarding non GE/PD maps suggestions such as Kakariko are appealing but I fully understand why Wreck doesn't want to include them in order to stay true to spirit. But I wonder, what about Timesplitters? It is something akin to the first cousin once removed of the spiritual successor. If Disco was included I would certainly not complain. Although perhaps, if anywhere, Timesplitters aligns more with PD than GE (PD+?).

Regarding the eventual plan to replace the voices of guards from American to Russian. Is there a list of lines? Is the intention that they speak English or Russian? For that matter, what about the likes of Frigate, Cuba, Aztec and Egyptian? Regarding the main dialogue I'm sure there are people out there with the patience to collate the right snippets of Brosnan and Bean's voice from the film and other things and others with the skills to clean them up etc. Regarding any new lines featuring Bond talking to himself, someone suggested having Q make a comment instead which I think seems a lot more plausible.

I don't see any possibility for You Only Live Twice to come back. It was a cool scenario but how do you make players be eliminated after the second spawn. Not only that but it has to work for the Simulants as well.
