Army Men Sarge's Heroes will return in a multiplayer level to the game GoldenEye 007, the level will be the '' Fort Plastro '' (Multiplayer version), the level is in progress and I am doing it in AutoCAD 2004, thanks to the tutorial of '' Sogun ''

Hi Johnny Thunder

Good to see that someone finds my tutorial useful! Very Happy

However, since the level already exists in another N64 game, maybe you better rip it directly from it like I have done with many other multiplayer maps that I've already published.

I wrote a small tutorial in my topic. I can extend the explanation if you are interested. Perhaps even create a new tutorial topic.

http://www.shootersforever.com/forums_message_boards/viewtopic.php?p=58467#58467

I don't know how things will rip while the game is in splitscreen, but it's worth testing it.
I also don't know if you use 3dsmax.

I don't explain it in the tutorial but you'll need to export from 3dsmax as FBX, then use 'Autodesk FBX Converter 2012.2' to convert the files to OBJ and be able to import again to 'Deled', where you split the level in rooms and can later are additions made in Autocad (you can also use the Autodesk FBX Converter 2012.2 to convert the FBX to DXF so you can work in autocad).
Exporting to OBJ directly from 3dsmax doesn't seem to work with Deled. You need this extra step.

It's a process that I've been refining along the years.

Dear Sogun

Good suggestion, but I have some disadvantages: Firstly, the game can not extract anything, not even textures and levels, only the music midi, and secondly, most "Autodesk" programs, including the one you mentioned, only work on 64bit computers , And not 32bit, and my computer is 32bit

Me too Smile
Naming texture with their ID was such an improvement in my workflow.

I'd say it's a very good thing that he do the map from scratch because the layout is simple enough not to be a hasle (it's not forest temple from Zelda OoT ^^) and that way he will train a bit at modelling.
Because I'm so tired of the original map and we definitely need new maps.

I've been busy doing the '' clipping '' of the level, I'll send photos when ready
But it is very difficult to make stairs to climb

Do stairs as ramps in clipping, it's best way.

Even RareWare used a few ramp style clipping tiles here and there for stairs (definitely in Egypt), and it would be perfectly fine for a multiplayer level such as the one you are making.

Never noticed.

There's no slight bounce... But the editor can handle non vertical tiles much better so it's recommended.

And your feet might stick through the steps, or give off the impression the character is floating.

The project will be suspended, cause? My computer is no longer useful and I think that maybe I no longer advance in the project, Sogun is the person who has the backing of my project and I'm going to give it to him, have a nice day.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully this level will one day be playable in GoldenEye, or even Perfect Dark.
