For those who frequent Twitch regularly, how come we don't see Goldeneye more often trending? It pains me to see the CoD's and the like near the top of the most viewed, when we all know the best FPS shooter on earth is on the 64.
Thoughts? How do we start a Twitch revolution?

I like bassboost, Alex something who stream sometimes (wednesday and sometimes Friday I think). He's a very nice guy but whatever. I'll never understood people watching streams.
Besides Smash Bros tournaments, especially while waiting for the Wii U, I don't have a clue about streams. |

| I'm currently following WhiteGoose, always been a fan of speedrunning in general but recently took a big interest in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark speedruns. |

Live streaming isn't for everyone that's for sure, but the point of it being live is so you can be with the streamer at the same time, so it feels more personal and closer to them instead of watching an upload. It's better if people want communication with the content creators. I don't really watch streams usually unless if it's for tournaments but sometimes it's fun to watch for a while.
Don't think there are many if any GE / PD streamers aside of speedrunners as already stated, since it doesn't really bring a big public over on streaming sites so it isn't worth it for most.

Unless it's Vinesauce corrupting the Goldeneye rom (which is amazing but highly limited) it seems classic games aren't so popular from anyone who hasn't already been established for long enough to be able to afford the viewers. It's a shame there aren't more Vinesaucey stream groups out there - they cover new and old games extensively, often by popular demand, then go in with corrupters and all sorts to squeeze out all playability.
Coincidentally, I'd be happy to do it if it was asked of me, but I'm a tiny streamer with a small group of people who I chat with when I'm not streaming anyway. |
