Obviously Id suggest you also export an mp3 for listening to outwith the game engine, also for comparison purposes (incase there are discrepancies somewhere)

Believe was updated for new soundfont export capability, and names are there.

Ah cool, so PG does export SF now Smile

and don't have to stick to just the original sf2 file instruments I could further expand the sounds from the game soundtrack with my library of E-Mu synthesizers that the original composers used. So we could create things that are absolutely GoldenEye but are unheard of so far!

As stated before, this should be possible, but I imagine entering all the envelope stuff to be slightly time consuming on an entire SF.

But your right, it would be very awesome.

@Trev, well in that case we'll just work with what we've got Smile

Here's a little showcase I've just started to work on using the new soundfont:

That does sound quite good. I can absolutely picture that in a GoldenEye level. No doubt things will change some when converted to midi, but that may just give it that extra N64 charm.

If this sample is any indication of your musical talents, we are in for a real treat. Smile

Cheers guys. I'm sure we'll be able to create some nice things. I've started to work on a track for Anks new train map so things are rolling already.

@Wreck: I can surely come up with a few tunes but I can't serve with the talent part, sorry Laughing

Man guys I can tell you that the new Train Track is really insane ! It sounds sooo good and it perfectly fits to the new train map. You could believe it´s an original Level Sound.

GoldenZen you are really great. Damn I got goosebumps hearing this new one Very Happy

One level I really think could benefit from a new musical score is TimEh's Island mission. It is well constructed, and the interior / exterior feel so different from each other. The warm tropical beach versus the air conditioned building. Cliff Base, by GERage, may also be deserving. Of course, the songs could be reused elsewhere, as we have been doing with the original GoldenEye soundtrack.
