Hello again, I had a problem, the Xenia model with long hair is somewhat distorted and looks somewhat ugly, the texture of the face is distorted, any suggestions? (I did everything that Pavarini told me and use a base photo of the original model)

It looks like the model is not properly enveloped. Were you trying to edit the model using OBJ? |

If, more or less, the model and I advance a lot to start, but I have a question, why the texture of the face is distorted?
What should I do? _________________ Johnny Thunder masterpiece:

Because OBJ does not contain envelope information, it will be loss when you export/import using OBJ format. You should only export the head model so you only need to rerig the head on import.
Click the head displaylist in the model editor and on the right side of the tree view click 'Export .obj Original Order'. It should have the name like Guard000BPart0025.obj/Guard000BPart0027.obj. Load that file and make your changes to it and export the obj from your 3d editing software. Switch back to the model editor and click 'import from obj if already added textures'. Further tweak your model in the visual editor. |

Should I use the modified model or start from scratch? _________________ Johnny Thunder masterpiece:

Start from scratch, export only the head, make a small modification such as enlarging the nose, import and see how it works out. Then go do the hair extension. |

You can do that if you edit the whole model in visual window, but first try to import head. |

Does your OBJ survive a round trip in blender? |

There is one thing, when exporting the original file also appears a .mtl format file, what I did was to copy the text (I opened the file in the "notebook") to the modified file with the modified .mtl format and inserted it , May that be the problem? _________________ Johnny Thunder masterpiece:

The mtl file is the material files used for the object. You should try a round trip to know if blender is importing/exporting the obj file correctly. |

I export everything from '' blender '', but what does not fit is that when I graft it as you told me, but the textures do not appear, what should it be? _________________ Johnny Thunder masterpiece:

I am not versed in blender enough to help with your issue, but I can confirm that XSI will import/export the model correctly with envelopes intact. If you do get XSI working follow the character tutorial I wrote in the subforum. |
