Goldeneye XXX - will it ever be possible?

Man it has been a while since i played a good multiplayer session, and now that Goldfinger 64 is out, i found a chance to play with its multiplayer with Ollllo, and a couple of friends on the weekend.

Olll0 was a uneasy, and the thing is, now i am too

The thing is, Goldeneye X is great, even tho a couple of things are missing that I miss a lot, like the body armor that can be destroyed, and the ammo crates and weapons that can also be sabotaged - ( im not sure but i think Ollo fixed that, but could not fix the body armor that is part of the weapon setups)

But Goldfinger has THE HATS! the old "nazi" gun, the boiler room level is awesome!

Either way now i'm left wondering too, is it possible, to truly merge all 3 multiplayer experiences in one cartridge? Expand the ROM,
sound effects , textures,
Im talking about all weapons from goldfinger, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark
All characters from Goldginger, Goldneye & Perfect dark
destructible weapons, vests, blurry vision, taking away weapons, poison weapons, bots, karate chops, flurry punches
ALL the multiplayer levels from all 3 games, all the music from all the 3 games

Trevelyan vs mr Blonde, Oddjob vs Elvis, Connery Bond Vs Joanna

today i was going to request 2 very specific things for Olllo,

But i think now, it might be possible to have all 3 in one...
and not have this feeling that you are missing something when you swap one cart for the other ... Confused

PS - Chingado! if there was a way to hack the Xbox version of perfect dark
this wonderful Goldneye XXX thing could include 16 player multiplayer online

Just imagine the 16 versus setup!
Elvis, Oddjob, Mr blonde, Goldfinger, Trevelyan, Connery, Mr Carrinton, Mayday, Scientist, that "Robo" guy from the Lucerne tower, Mr Ling, Boris,
wussy galore, Xenia, Jaws, Hell, even a Skedar
On area 51, full level, with random 10 XXX weapons setup

tbh if that was even possible that would take probably as long as it took to make goldfinger64 in the first place.

You'd be using PD as the base game, and import assets from GoldenEye X (with texture ID updating and many other adjustments to get certain things working), but the hardest process is converting the GF64 models and levels over. You're still fighting for space, and won't get every character, every weapon, and every level from all three games. You'd have to pick and choose "the best" from each, and sacrifice a lot during the process.

"GoldenDark" as some people refer to for the proposed GE/PD hybrid game, will already be a major handful. But I think it is more likely to happen than this three game concoction.

Also, GoldenEye XXX comes off as pornographic, so I would suggest a new name for this (wet) dream project. Razz

And what are these destructible weapons you are referring to? I know the vests can be weakened, or destroyed, in GE. But weapons?

Yes, while playing Goldeneye i noticed that the bastard Olllo uses weapon destruction as a strategy, he shoots the weapons and they seem to get damaged and useless as a pickup, only until you fully destroy them they reespawn as functional, i noticed this but im not sure if its all weapons or just some of them , but i would do that to the vests myself that's for sure.

The GEXXX - to save time and resources , i think it would have to be just a pure multiplayer thing. just multiplayer levels, and have a vote to replace the not so good multiplayer leves that belong to Perfect D

it reminds me of Sonic & Knuckles, somehow sega in the 90's made a cartridge that would merge with 2 previous ones, i wish the banjo kazooie stop and swoop thing would have worked like that, a banjop tooie cartridge with an open top where you could insert banjo kazooie.

if that had happened , maybe it would make it easier to find a way to merge the "rare shooters"

on the topic of multiplayer, i wonder if anything could be taken from the mario64 online mod, and used to modify PD's multi.
meaning for example that the host player fires up the emulator, configures a combat simulator game with 16 bots and starts, but here is the cool thing, the bots are not bots, they are controlled by people in their respective servers using another modified Rom that turns bots into 1st person perspective and allows you to control it.

Other thing, im going to send PM's i want to help drive costs down for a little something that many of you will love. Wink

The body armour is common knowledge, yes. As it takes damage, the amount of armour the player receives from it decreases. If you break the armour, it becomes unable to be picked up. However, I have never ever heard about this for any weapon. They should technically be invincible, so you cannot weaken or destroy them. Same goes for ammo crates.

i will get to the bottom of this, i remeber Olllo did manage to help me hack the armour/shiled to PD, so i dont know if the GE rom we played with might have had modfied weapons.
this gave me an idea, the shilelds situation in perfect dark can be fixed with the gameshark, is there away to replace, single player weapon values or weapons with the multiplayer weapons that the 'weapon' spots generate in multiplayer?

as an example, a code in Perfect dark that replaces multiplayer klobb ( when the weapon setup calls for it) with single player object wine bottle it show up on the designated klobb spot, and you can shoot it and destroy it

olll0 edited the classic GE levels in PD with already existing single player shields and they worked just like in Goldeneye to an extent, they could be destroyed. Only played 2 times with that mod, so i cant remember if reespawned after total destruction.

a code that replaces the multi version of the shields with the single player shield should fix them, at least for the emulator.
