Hi there. I recently got into modding Goldeneye so I don't have much experience. I've been following a few guides but have found nothing of the sorts related to this problem.

Every time I try to quicksave I'm met with this error: Compressed file is insert file size bytes, and must be less than 0x3F0 bytes.

I've set the level to barebones and removed practically everything else. I even imported a default level so I haven't made my own. No matter what I do I can't get the file size to be less than that minimum. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Which version of the editor are you using?

Are you importing your setup file in game config? If so are you clicking "Import Solo Setup From Visual"

I believe I'm importing it but I could be wrong. Like I said I have next to no experience with this tool. After doing some digging I found that option you mentioned but have yet to click it. I would open an uncompressed setup and select the file from the GEEdit folder as well as selected the Goldeneye Rom. Is that what you mean?

One of the guides I was looking at was converting single player levels into a multiplayer map. In there the setup/visual was set to the single while the quick convert was set to the multi. I've gotten it to work if they're both set to the single player, but not that other way whereas it worked in the guide. Do single player and multiplayer maps have different memory allocations?

Please do not use Quick Convert (F5), instead use Quick Inject (F7). A lot of tutorials are out of date and do not use more efficient methods for importing. Your modified ROM will save in the same directory as your quick convert ROM within preferences.

The F7 method worked so thank you for that, however I seem to be unable to load in the correct level now.

This is the guide I've been following which I imagine is out of date. I continued to where he opens the 21990 Modification tool, which I've found most of those settings now under Game Configuration. I've edited what I could following the pattern, but I'm doing Dam into Temple instead of Runway into Archives. Every time I load the temple map the wall textures are a bit different, not a big deal, but it still loads in temple instead of Dam like I thought it would.
